  1. The Apple ram is very pricey so don't max it out, buy it configured with the minimum amount of ram then purchase third party ram from OWC to get to the total amount of ram you want. You will save a lot of money.
  2. "iTunes Plus" versions of music you are purchasing may also be available from the iTunes music store, they DRM free and also at a higher sample rate. They are available for .99 cents now.
  3. Quicktime, iMovie, Garageband... all can be good solutions for recording audio. And all are on current systems. You may have to upgrade Quicktime to Pro, maybe not.
  4. Hey Jason, thanks for putting on a great match Sunday, count me in for the classifier match! -Joel
  5. Thanks, I'll link this topic thread to our match director. -Joel
  6. Sorry about the injury. It does sound like you blew your achilles tendon, and if it is you will have to see your Doctor and arrange to have it repaired.
  7. I have a P16 and had to do the same to my 012.
  8. I have three stands, I like them, since they stay completely assembled they set up and take down very quickly just by swinging the legs into position, then the bolt that's in your plate just drops in the slot on the stand, done. I have one full size ipsc from Artzen, another full size and three minis from a local source, they all perform well on the stands.
  9. I have my xl650 coverted to load .223 and have run some test loads, everything running smooth. I am loading 25.3 grains of W748 behind Hornady 55gr. fmjbt w/c to a length of 2.250. Pretty much the lower load out of Sierra's reloading manual specific for the AR. I am waiting for my 18" JP-15 with b/c comp, should have it any day now. Just was wondering if this load would be fine for break-in? I am thinking since it's from Sierra's AR specific section this load should have enough oomph to cycle just fine, or I should be able to compensate with the JP adjustable gas block. I would welcome any advice or thoughts. -Joel
  10. I haven't seen any issues with Winchester SRP's in my P16-40.
  11. I shoot a Para with WSR primers and titegroup. The length are you loading to would be the big question that needs to be answered. I load to 1.200. 4.2 of titegroup won't make it at that length.
  12. Your knowledge George is very appreciated by me. As I go along on my learning curve for the AR your posts are a great resource! Thank you. -Joel
  13. Thanks George, I see what you are saying now. Would this be the right LE Wilson Gauge? You are right about that, I'm still waiting on the rifle to be completed so all I have right now is the reloading process to work on.
  14. Thanks for the great info George. But I'm not sure, I believe that the guage I am getting from JP is an ammo guage cut to their chamber (just checked, "JP Case Guage"), would I be able to use it for the shoulder set back proceedure? Also do I have to make any additional considerations on trimming final OAL then?
  15. Thanks Rich, That's what I will do, and I have a JP chamber guage coming with the rifle.
  16. I thought I would resurrect this thread instead of starting a new one. I am getting close to start reloading .223 on my xl650 for a jp-15 I have on order. Right now I am waiting on a Giraud trimmer. My question has to do with an older RCBS rock chucker single stage press I plan on using in the process to size the once fired range brass prior to trimming. Would anyone have a recommendation on sizing dies? Thanks for the help, -Joel
  17. Now your talkin. Nice and simple. I like the look too. Classic.
  18. I have purchased two now, I weighed a minimum setting charge and a maximum charge then interpolated what the load in between should be, dialed to it and hit it dead on. Makes it simple. Great product!
  19. Contact Alex Roy over at www.eurooptic.com and have him send you his price list. He has many on order, and seems to get them in on a regular basis. I'm in line for one now. -Joel
  20. Same here, a heads up to the RO would help, it got a quick "stop!" from me
  21. Thanks for the input, it is about all I have to go on at this point because this is my first AR and I haven't even shot one rifle stage yet. "makes the rifle balance better and not feel so muzzle heavy" posted by mpeltier Good point. Another reason I am thinking about the PRS stock is for it's adjustability. I have the Meopta 1x4 scope on order and am trying to avoid ordering more mounts than I need to get the height right. -Joel
  22. Thanks for the replies and advice to look at the CTR stock. Does the CTR cover the same extension lengths as the long socom, if it does it would work for me. -Joel
  23. My JP-15 is probably getting close to completion, it is set to ship with an long ACE socom stock, but I would like to hear from those that have tried the Magpul Precision stock to hear whether it would be a good choice for this game, I don't have any experience in the three gun side of this sport yet so I would be very grateful for the input. And Thanks to Brian and all who contribute here on Brians forums, the collective knowledge here is invaluable!
  24. I'm glad to hear you say that, I was having second thoughts after reading the thread up til now. I have a meopta on order and started to consider the leupold again.
