  1. I find that they get in the way and limit hand position choices especially when dealing with unorthodox shooting positions.
  2. I am lefty as well I have had this issue. Unless you are sure I would set up a video to see if you can tell what is going on and can confirm your suspicions before changing your grip. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Stay safe and don't let the speed of others change your pace. Focus on getting good clean hits and let the speed develop as confidence grows. Don't be afraid to let the RO know you are a new shooter and ask question about anything you may be uncomfortable with or unclear about.
  4. I use Oakley and have really had great luck with them.
  5. That is funny. Our postal carrier is just as lazy. I get stuff just left on the driveway all the time.
  6. Production in front and everything else to the rear.
  7. That is one of the more impressive homemade carts I have seen. Great job.
  8. Just my opinion but there is no such thing as a shooting accident only negligence on the part of someone.
  9. I switched to 4 some time ago and really like it. I suspect as my eye continue to degrade I will be moving back up the scale.
  10. I run at 130 but my deviation is less. I don't like running it to tight because you never know with Chrono. After seeing some folks at Nationals a few years back not make Major because they were pushing the limit I decided to not put myself in that position especially when trying to make minor
  11. Found this post in another forum that described the same problem you were having with the same mags and Gun. Maybe this will help you address it. "Found the problem. I took it apart and really looked at the mag release. There was a bit of an extra lip that was binding against the mag. I took my dremel to it and that did the trick."
  12. How tight are you gripping the gun. I have seen some with a tight grip actually squeeze the grip enough to stop the mag from falling free.
  13. I do a lot of video. I always ask them first if they mind and the provide them a copy so they can decide. If I am doing a highlight video I ask their permission ahead time. I don't you legally have to but I see it as a cmon courtesy.
  14. Great job. Definitely do a primer check before putting them into the can or box for the range.
  15. I usually tell folks to size up on the outer belt. The inner you typically can run true to your size but it wont hurt you if you size up there as well
  16. I run the heavier combination 5lb striker with 15lb just for reliability. I had some issues when I tried to go lighter than the 15lb. Even though the issue were inconsistent I didn't want to take the chance of malfunctions.
  17. I use the ELS for everything except the holster. On the holster I went with the Bladetech TMMS. I found the ELS a little flimsy when you load it down with a fully loaded gun and start running around.
  18. I have it in the back for Limited, Lim 10, Open and in front for production.
  19. This is going to be a great match. How will you handle the timing for suppressed guns to insure that they register on the timer?
  20. I don't remove my powder either and have not really had any issues. I do a weight check every time I load if it has been sitting a while.
  21. I have not used the Ghost holster so I can't speak to being able to mount it using the ELS clip. I use the ELS system for my competitions and have everything mounted to the clips so I can move things very easily. Essentially you need the belt (inner and outer) and then ELS clips for each pice you want to attach at one time. I have seen some folks use the clips for the mag holders and other accessories but have their holster mounted directly to the belt. So you can certainly use your ghost holster with the ELS system and if it does not have a way to use the ELS clop juts mount it directly.
  22. For those that ordered a 9/11 commemorative Techwear shirt, I received a call from Joe at Techwear and he expects to be shipping them out by the end of the week. Thanks
  23. Finally back from the dust and wind of the 2009 Open Nationals in Las Vegas. We have updated all of the registrations received through yesterday's mail and they will be posted into the system in the next day or so. You will receive an email letting you know that it is time for you to go in and self squad. Unless you have already been squaded or have directly received an email from the Match Director all Friday squad slots are now full. You will need to be squaded on for the weekend squad choices. Thanks and see everyone on the range. Jeff Treasurer River Bend Practical Shooters Georgia State Championship
  24. Squad 21 great shooting with everyone. Here is our squad picture for those of you that wanted a copy. See everyone at the awards ceremony.
