I'd like to know what you all r using to measure you're case mouth ID's with to come up w numbers to the .0005"
Calipers r no where near that accurate even with a guage ring.....

Make sure there is not a burr on the expander ball in the sizing die.
Then measure the diameter and let us know....

Dude save that 8208 for decent long range loads.
We run 25.0 grains up to 75 grain bullets(don't do it) in match barrel rifling profiles.
60vmax we running 25.5 grains.
Find a ball powder like AA2230 or H335 for 55 junk ammo.

Unicorn Horn is so yesterday...
I like to use Transformium so I can customize for every stage.
If that don't work I'll go to Unobtanium....

My experience is that the only benefit of the 6" is the longer sight radius.
The 5" full dustys r faster and flatter but a lot easier to miss quicker.
Found that out early on with video review.
And I know all about missing very quickly.....

Also make sure you r not contacting the crimp part of the die(if so equipped) while seating=bad...
Run the longest case length up and turn seater down til contact then back off a little

The other way would be to lengthen the forcing cone on the chamber.
you will lose a little velocity but it will take some felt recoil out.

spring pressure on all the tubes has been tested to work.
changing spring pressure may adversely affect pin activation.
if u want to try changing the springs to something a little longer w the extensions give it a shot.

Is the brass OK(runout) before u seat????

I doubt you would notice much difference with the right buffer setup. Depends on the brake design though.
You could always have a 1/2-28 brake retapped by a competent machinist.

Right now I am using a 15" RRA octagonal FFT. I also have the 15" Nordic fft set up on the backup and practice rifles.
I have an old style Lancer CF on my 300 Blk hunting AR. JP's handguard on my 308 AR's. YHM TJ 15" on my 24" long range 223.
Which one do I like the best---uhhhh pick one.....
Still looking for that handguard sponsor--hint! hint!!!!

As long as they don't start doing HALO jumps you'll be ok
I have no vacation left otherwise I'd be there.
FNH took last of it.

Well I think I'm recovered from the match now.....
Big thanks to all the sponsors and match staff. Good to see lots o vendors.
It was interesting to have bigger stage designs this year. Pretty good stage designs in fact!
My first prob would have to be pro stage 7. Shooting first at just after 8:00am and not being able to see the longer range targets was just a little unfair IMO.
If they had been painted a lighter color there wouldn't have been an issue. I think match directors need to start taking time of day and target presentation into account.
I was worried before the match that the longer stages would have caused backup issues but that didn't seem to be the case.
I think the 100 second timeout kept things going. Still, even though I never did, I would have liked to have seen a 2 minute(120 sec ) timeout instead of 100.
My second prob would be with the time of the awards on Sunday. I think the results were posted at 10ish?? so why wait until 1:00pm to start?
But all in all I hope to be able to shoot this match next year.

IIRC you MUST load hs-6 at high pressure to get it to even remotely burn cleanly.
DO NOT compare advertised powder burn rates and assume you can load them similarly.

I bought both the M2 and M4 pin from Brownells.
Both would work but the M2 pin has flats on it and M4 does not so I am using the M4 pin.
They both have a nice Hard Chrome finish.
I also installed the roll pin in place of the original FP pin o-ring retained "design".....
It's probably been covered but the roll pin size is 1/8" by 1/2" or you can also use an AR trigger guard roll pin which is 1/8 x 5/8"

Thanks for the knowledge Kurt.
It sucks when you get free stuff to use and it's got some wear on it....

Just like on an AR---I took apart a Versamax for the first time and the bolt carrier cam-pin is worn down to flats.
Will the Benelli one work and last longer?
It was still functioning but I'd like to have it closer to correct....
The new one will get grease!!!!

No prob for 2-3/4" shells. Don't have any 3" or 3.5"
Don't see why you wouldn't be able to do 3" if needed.

Welded Miculek Upside Down

That looks like a brake I made half a dozen years ago....was wondering what happened to it.....
I would fix that miculek brake problem by thinning out the tops of the ports or adding top holes.
