Im definatly faster with irons than optics at 50 yards and under, but at 100 yards or so I think optics are valuable for precision.

Im getting about 2.5 moa out of my cmmg with 14.5 barrel. With 24.5 grains of IMR 4895.

I fire my 340pd with my thumb past the cylinder all the time nothing has ever happened to me yet, I guess I will have to rethink my grip a little. I saw the thread on arfcom but there are also videos on youtube of someone testing this theory with hotdogs

I trim my brass to 1.745 so I wont have to trim after another 4 loads. I guess if you could trim then size if they are shorter than 1.75 before you size. If this is a match gun however I would stick with the standard 1.75

Tac is good for practice loads but I have found that velocity varries more than my go to powder 4895. This could be because you cant meter 4895 well and I just run Tac through the uniflow.

Sorry I cant be any help with load data but I would like to know where you got the 135gr bullets and if the a lead or jacketed

I have had my p-mags loaded for almost 6 months now one without the cover and the feed lips are still perfectly fine. These are very tough mags, to bad the smoked and the clear ones arent going to be tough enough for hard use.

Sorry if this is a little late as I believe they are out of the 75gr. But I got 2k of each and so far I like the 62gr ones for the money there weight is more consistent. the 75gr vary by up to 3/4 of a grain and the 62gr varied by less than 1/2. Im guessing these are just for practice and plinking and for that its hard to find a better deal.

I have reloaded 500 rounds of wolf steel cases so far the dies havent been affected and everything is working fine. They can be reloading a few times but I wouldn't recommend it I reload my once and then trash them. Of course there are a few people that will tell you they have loaded them x number of times, but we dont know if they were full power loads or what stresses the cases were under. Be safe

I cant wait for the .45 for my CCW I know one person that has the 9mm and he likes it so far, but doesnt have a respectable amount of rounds through it

Does anyone have any thoughts on Verona shotguns preferably the xl680 monotrap? I thinking about picking one up on a trade. Comments on reliabilty, fit, finish, and price on a used one in good condition would be very helpful. Thanks

I dont know about TG I use AA#7 for most of my loads, but im sure someone can tell you. As for function they funciton just as well as jacketed bullets unless they are cast of softer metal. This isnt a problem with mastercast but he is the only one I have used. I cant imagine PF would change if you were using a bullet of the same weight. Most cast bullets however need to be shot at lower velocities due to leading in the barrel at high velocities. I use these for practice because they are econmical. hope this helps

They are kind of a family run business so they dont have that many people working for them, I think now that they are doing so much business they are all made to order and do special run for midwayusa and such

I built mine usint a les baer frame and slide. I think (not 100%) that they are lighter because they have less steel under the grips.

I use a http://www.gearsector.com 2 point sling. Its quick on the fly adjusment is very nice and it can also be made into a single point sling if you so desire.

Thanks for the link GmanCdp. I didnt know HKS made ones for j-frames. I have put 100 of full power .357 loads through my gun the first first day i got it, but I will never do that again, thats for sure.

Thanks for the heads up, do any retail chains carry these as I would like to try them on before I buy. I would like to see how they work with my rifles.

+1 for MGM I have their BC-Czone target and it works very well I have put about 2k 9mm and 100 5.56 rounds into it. There is some very slight dimpling on the face of the target from some hot 5.56 loads at less than 50 yards but other than it has held up well. Also this specific target can be shot a close range because it deflects the fragment down or off to the sides. And make sure you get on that is rifle rated.

That is about what I could manage with my Colt upper and 115 Montana JHPs over a lot of N350. Same result with Hirtenberger L7A1. Turned out not to be that great of a 3gun rifle & I saved it for "carbine" shoots. Anything near 100 yards and I'd opt for a 5.56mm. I definatly wouldn't use it for 3-gun just because of the recoil diferences. I can get back on target much quicker with DI rifle than a blow back. However I do use it to practice which helps the bank account quite a bit.
