  1. I was afaid of that. I have the pin but it is broke into two pieces and getting the thing back in without lauching a couple of times was a real SOB. I was hoping I could find just that pin. I shure hate to have to order a whole new safety just to get that stupid pin. Oh whell I kinda wanted an ambi safety anyway now I guess I have a good excuse for the Chief Financial Officer(wife) Thanks guys Derick H.
  2. I hope someone can help me out. I just finished putting my witness match back together from its first full teardown. When I got the safety off, the detent pin that goes into the safety fell out it two pieces. I have put it back together and it works more or less. The safety used snap on and off quite firmly and now it is very mushy. I have looked on the EAA website and on Hennings site and cant find that little pin by itself. I really don't want to have to buy a new safety lever just for that little detent. Does anyone have a part number for just that pin or can you tell me where and how to get one. Much appreciate any help as this is my main competition gun and I really hate to have it down for awhile. Derick H.
  3. Cleaning the primer tube, now why didn't I think of that? Thanks for the welcome. I have tasted the blue coolaid and it is GOOD!
  4. If anything you should get better barrel life with plated bullets as they have a little bit more "give" than jacketed.
  5. I just stepped up from a SDB to a 550. Bought one used of a buddy who steped up to the 1050(trikle down ecenomics) anyway being a used machine I orded the 550 spares/maintenance kit, and I get the grease, the brush and canned air are obvious But what the heck am I supposed to do with the pipe cleaners? Being two different sizes they must have some specific use, but danged if I can figer it out. Any one in the know what to throw a rookie a bone on this one? Any does anybody know why the video instruction manule is only available on VHS? I would love to get one but I got rid of my last VHS player long ago. Is there some secret source for this video on DVD? Or is there a good tutorial anywhere on cleaning and maintenance? Preferably with pics? The intructions are great on set up and use, but not quite as helpfull with cleaning and such. Overall I'm thrilled with my new toy. I got the 550 w/casefeeder, 4sets of dies, 7caliber conversions, several toolhead stands, 6 extra toolheads, strong mount, cartridge counter, roller handle, bullet tray and various other odds and ends, all for $375.
