  1. I would call atlas high end… They cost 3x as much as the dwx. Fwiw my dwx shoots a sub 2” group at 20 yards off hand. I can’t do that with a $1700 shadow 2 orange. The play is a little irritating but IMO it doesn’t effect the gun at all. With a $130 trigger kit and a little work I have a 2lb trigger, zero pretravel, over travel and a rabbit hair reset. For 2k I’ll take it.
  2. You can tighten the mag release with a little flat head to take the wobble out.
  3. Anyone willing to give me some advice on how to remove the thumb safety on my dwx for disassembly?
  4. Mine is also pretty loose but it doesn’t effect accuracy at all.
  5. Yep, the inner belt also holds it more secure vertically. I’ve basically cut the inner belt so it clears my belt loops at 5 and 7 oclock by about an inch. This leaves the gap in the middle of my back at about 6”. No more bunching and it feels very secure . Only downside would be the inner belt by itself doesn’t work (if you need a belt to actually hold your pants up).
  6. Yes definitely trending in the right direction. I’m waiting for a price in the 40’s and I might jump in for a large purchase. Initially Sportsmans was limiting you to 1k per customer but last time my buddy went in he bought 5k.
  7. For anyone else wondering I went ahead and tried this with an extra inner belt and it works perfectly!
  8. Excellent thank you. Before I order that, has anyone tried cutting their inner belt so it does not overlap, by maybe 5-6" underneath where the ratchet is? This would hold the outer belt in place vertically while also not bunching up as the ratchet was tightened?
  9. I picked up a DAA Lynx belt with ratchet attachment for my new L/O setup. I really like how snug I can get the belt utilizing the ratchet but I'm not in love with how it feels like it bunches up in my lower back with the inner belt. Has anyone come up with a solution for this? I haven't shot a match with it yet but I guess I will ratchet down before shooting, and then immediately loosen afterwards...
  10. Has anyone ordered a safety from the dan wesson site? Im guessing its both sides? The image is only the right. in regards to the trigger, it looks like the ones you can order from them have the tabs on the bow to adjust pretravel. The trigger bow that came in my gun doesn’t have these adjustment tabs… kinda weird?
  11. Thanks I'd definitely love to check out the Athena. I shot the Titan RDS back to back with my DWX and it made my DWX feel like a Hi-Point. I loved everything about it!
  12. Thinking about ordering an Artemis RDS next year after shooting my buddies Titan. I want to confirm LO stays minor only before ordering but what other guns should I be looking at? This will strictly be a USPSA gun for LO.
  13. Didn't even try and break the springs in, they just worked 24+1 from the start. I actually just got two more that also work.
  14. Made the mistake tonight of comparing my DWX to a TitanRDS… damn. I also put 200 rounds through the DWX. I shot it really well but this safety is super irritating. I think I need to completely change up my grip. Draw speed was 1.2-1.3 at 15 yards which is about average for me but I had a problem engaging the safety with my support hand in the middle of a string of fire, or even missing the safety on the draw and not disengaging it. Pretty frustrating in comparison to the Atlas
  15. Just got a shipping notification for a green 507 comp im going to experiment with on the DWX.
  16. oh I know I was agreeing with you. Why make aftermarket parts for a gun that's not available. They're becoming more available now though, at least locally to me. So far in comparison to a Staccato the DWX seems to get high marks. Especially from the crowd coming from the Shadow 2.
  17. They’re definitely becoming more available. First round my local shop got sold immediately but i think they’re sitting on a few now that aren’t moving.
  18. Me tooooo! (If anyone out there is listening and capable). Has anyone taken the safety apart with photos? What exactly is the difference?
  19. Haven’t posted in a bit, we had a family vacation for a few weeks that kept me away from gun games. Shot a match yesterday and kinda felt like I was starting over. My plan has been to switch to LO come 1/1, and with a 77% average in CO it seems like making M by then might be a little bit of a challenge. I’m considering shooting my DWX at the match next weekend and making the switch now…
  20. yea I was trying to compare apples to apples for my intended use which would primarily be a concealed carry gun as well as a backup to my DWX in LO. The P just seems too big for that. Honestly I wish they made the C2 in steel. I didn't fire either one (this time) so it was more a comparison of size, trigger, and how it felt in hand. I've fired both in the past and the staccato is definitely nicer but that's a cheap fix on the prodigy.
  21. awesome thank you guys, I'm not too worried about it being identical but if I can do transition work and dot occlusion that would help with 90% of my issues.
