Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. That would be nice but I can’t see Glock doing it. Rifles are not in their repertoire.
  2. As stated in my original post, I’d rather shoot myself in the foot with a .44 black powder round. Anyway, I ordered the Ruger PC yesterday along with all the extras. Looking forward to testing when everything arrives.
  3. Nice vid. Looked like some pretty slick shooting. Got any pics of the full rifle? I’m not a builder. I only do upgrades if I think they are necessary after spending considerable time with the firearm. As a general rule, I tend to leave a majority of things stock. If I wanted to do a full build, I’d just get a Kel Tec and replace every single part. I’m currently leaning that direction. I do love my Rugers.
  4. Thanks to all for the responses. I was really hoping to hear more from the JRC side of things but the Ruger seems to have a pretty high customer satisfaction rating. (But hey, it IS a Ruger after all.) Looks like I'll be rocking a PC-9 next spring when my local club starts back up for their season.
  5. I'm not a Glock fan in any way but their magazines rule the PCC world. The variety of PCC rifles that take Glock mags outnumbers almost al the others put together. If you decide to buy another PCC, chances are you won't have to buy new mags if you're already stocked up on Glocks.
  6. After shooting Single Stack for 3 years, I am planning to jump into USPSA PCC Division next year. (Because reloading every 10 rounds sucks!) I'm working on a rather limited budget and I've narrowed my choice of PCC down to two options within $100 + or - a few dollars of each other. First is the standard, 10/22 looking version of the Ruger PC with a 16" barrel. I will say right here that I am a true fan of all things Ruger. (Except maybe the American semi auto pistol. Nobody liked those.) I know they have their limitations but there are shooters running them in competition. Also, if I feel they are needed, I can do upgrades as I progress. I would have to buy a separate case which brings it pretty close price wise to my 2nd option. Second is the Just Right Carbines Gen3 Takedown with a 17" barrel and the sling bag. While the reviews I have seen on these seem to fair pretty well, I haven't seen or read anything about anyone actually shooting one competitively. That's really kind of what I want to know about. I doubt they have as many upgrade options as the Ruger either but if it runs, I likely wouldn't mess with it too much. Of course, both take Glock mags which makes life easy. Yes, I am going with the longer barrels because I don't want to give the ATF more money for an SBR permit. I try to avoid dealing with any subgroup of the Alphabet Soup Gang whenever possible. This is also why I don't own any suppressors. I know there are more well known, better and $$$ PCCs out there but this is what I have to work with on the budget I have. It's probably a good thing Hi Point doesn't make higher capacity magazines. I almost said, "screw it," and went with a KelTec Sub2000 but I'd rather shoot myself in the foot with a .44 black powder round. So, if these were the only two options available to you for your next match, which one would you chose and why?
  7. Hey all. Newbie to the forum but I have a few years under my gun belt with USPSA. I started in 2020 and have been shooting Single Stack Division. Unfortunately, I’ve had to sit out a lot this year because of one thing or another. Hopefully I’ll be back in full swing next year and I plan on making the jump to PCC. (Because reloading every 10 rounds sucks!) I joined mainly because I have a few questions regarding PCC Division and I figured a USPSA focused forum would probably be a good place to find the answers. (Don’t worry, I’ll attempt searches first so I don’t repeat a topic covered 100 times already.) Anyway, I’m happy to be here!
