Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Been trying to find a good pair and just couldn't. I wanted to stay with simple style like Oakley Half Jackets, but they are both too narrow for my head and doesn't have enough range for my prescription (combined ~6.00, I think they only go to ~4.00 last I checked). I've tried: Regular raybans, Oakley half jackets, Rudy project Rydons, all of them are too narrow. What I'm looking for: 1) Wide. For reference, ones I mentioned above all started to hurt my head after ~1 hour. Bonus points if they can fit under walkers' earpro without feeling like a vise against my head. 2) can accommodate combined prescription of ~6.00. I'd rather not wear contacts every time I shoot. 3) covers top-of-eye area if possible. Had a freshly-ejected case got in there, pretty uncomfortable and scary if you ask me. 4) Interchangeable lenses with enough options to cover most conditions. Any suggestion is welcome, double bonus points if you can suggest try-on places in eastern MA. Thanks.
  2. I am planning on using a par timer app with wired headphones into earpro (conveniently walkers earpro has 3.5mm input), thanks for the tip. The idea for that particular target is to have multiple runs before having to change target?
  3. Welp, the range is only 50ft, and with some quite old carrier system that only allows target at 7yd, 10yd and full 50ft. But enlighten me pls - what's the goal I'm trying to achieve here? just try hit inside the circle? how small should the circle be? I got a bunch of 1 inch stickers, would that be good?
  4. Hello everyone! Been lurking this forum for a while ever since I got my first firearm, and finally made the jump to try a steel match this coming weekend. Looking forward to learn from all the great minds here and see where this journey takes me. Being in the DPRMass, there are pretty severe limits on nice(or normal for many of you) things we can own, so I'm starting out focusing on steel challenge mostly because it shouldn't(I hope) take 10+1 rounds to finish a string.
  5. New to the sport, please be gentle in roasting me. Starting to get a bit serious about shooting steel challenge in RFPO division, and the only range I have easy access to is an indoor 50ft range. I've been doing low ready-first shot type of drills, just trying to get better muscle memory on acquiring the dot. That's the only one I can think of - what kind of drills would you suggest running for steel challenge? I'd love some ideas for drills to train for transition, but obviously I can't shoot other lane's target...
