Looks for Match

Looks for Match (2/11)

  1. The battery in their watches is also not user replaceable. However, there are guides on how to change them. So I'm pretty sure somebody will figure it out over time. Will be most likely just be a lipoly battery or something like that. Biggest challenge will be to open the unit without cracking the plastic enclosure. But again, somebody will figure it out and it will be doable for somebody a little bit technically inclined. After all I don't think Garmin is Apple yet and serialise the battery to the unit itself and so on(...fu Apple...)
  2. I was/am using the Erik Gauffle grip tubes. It looks... interesting... However the hands get dry and there's nearly no white residue left on my hands/grips when dried up. However this stuff gets expensive over time, so I'm considering switching to liquid chalk. Hell, grips can be cleaned and the competition guns are no safe queens, so who gives a damn how they look, I guess.
  3. Interesting, thanks man. Didn't expect that to be honest, I will look into it.
  4. IPSC has no box for production/production optics. Only has to be on the production list, follow the allowed modification and only have 15 bang tubes in the mag at beep. I think I didn't specify he was starting in production optics, sorry.
  5. Soft, yeah, probably. But no way you are making power factor with this load. At what length are you seating this load?
  6. I use these too, they work great. Just make sure to absolutely tighten down the rotating ball thingy after setting it up. Had mine not tightened enough and lost the punch with a full mag during a long stage sprint... RO was like: are you strategicly loosing weight for the sprint or what?
  7. And, as expected, Lasers and second optics are fine again in the PCC optics division. Halleluja
  8. Original Glock 33 rounds if you can use them. Apply another mag extension if you want but that's about it. Honestly, the original Glock mags just work fine and are so cheap, why bother and risk another brand?
  9. Agree, if the Dillon dropper is being used, I would rate this as nice to have. Not really mandatory but can make life easier.
  10. Rollerhandle, must have. Case feeder, must have imho. Strongmount, very nice, mind the height(overall height, are you standing or sitting, how tall is the table? If sitting, do you have a chair that lifts up high enough?) LED lightning, useful. Armanov index bearing, nice to have, not really necessary. Mirror for the case feeder, nice to have, useful if strong mount is used. Spend primer tube, nice to have. Armanov zero play toolhead with the according rings for sizing and crimping, hm don't know. I have them, nice. But needed, don't know. Bullet tray, very useful if you don't use a bullet feeder. Powder check, can be an insurance. But when using a bullet feeder you are limited. I seat manually with the bullet tray and that's very fast since otherwise the left hand does nothing. I tried the bullet feeder and that's not really faster, at least for me. And with the bullet feeder with powder check you loose the ability to seat and crimp in two stations, which is nice imho. Then, if you know somebody with a 3d printery, a tool holder, primer tube holder, primer stop and case stop are nice to have. Bullet tray can be 3d printed as well, mine is holding up strong. That's about all I've installed on my 750...which is in retrospective nearly everything that is available Also I'm rocking the x-ray parts powder dropper. Very accurate and repeatable powder drops. However, is it 350€ nicer than the Dillon dropper? Don't know...had it prior to the Dillon, so I installed it. [Edit] also, depending on your range brass, a Lee sizing die with the undersized decapping pin can be nice. Here in Europe some guys shoot the S&B non-tox which have a smaller flash hole. If you don't catch these and resize with normal pin it will bend. Since I switched to the undersized one, this problem is a non-issue and the Lee die works fine. But again, this is dependent if you encounter this damn cases(they have a nx marking on the back and often a ref sealing around the primers) if not, no worries.
  11. I was ready for buying a Labrador since my magnetospeed sporter suuuucks for pistols. But with this around the corner, that will be my next toy when it's available in Europe.
  12. At least regarding part 1 of your question, you are out of production/production optics and moved to open Rule 18.1 18. Original parts and components offered by the OFM as standard equipment, or as an option, for a specific model handgun on the IPSC approved handgun list are permitted, subject to the following: 18.1 Modifications to them, other than minor detailing (the removal of burrs and/or adjustments unavoidably required in order to fit replacement OFM parts or components), are prohibited. Other prohibited modifications include those which facilitate faster reloading (e.g. racking or cocking handles, flared, enlarged and/or add-on magwells, etc.), and/or adding stippling. Changing the original color and/or finish of a handgun, and/or adding stripes or other embellishments is permitted.
  13. Looks like they will roll back on this decision? Nothing official yet, but: https://www.ipsc.org/presidents-newsletter-september-2023/
  14. I'm just using a combination of the holosun 510 riser and another 0.5" riser. This way I don't have to get the head down in an uncomfortable position when shouldering the gun. (Edit) speaking a competition only PCC, no tactical things involved
  15. As a European IPSC shooter I can only say: "the f is going on over there" Kind of baffling the whole series of events.
