Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. The COF calls for RWR. No RWR equals 1 penalty.
  2. There used to be a great game in town called IHMSA. Over a period of about 10 years the rules were changed so many times and ways that nobody knew what was legal and what was not. Now that game is all but gone. There was another game called PPC around here and the same thing happened to that one. I guess my point is, it's a game just like baseball or football, or any other game you can name. There are rules for them all. Why don't we just play by the rules we have and not kill the game.
  3. What he is referring to behind Paducah Shooters Supply is the Jackson Purchase Rifle and Pistol Club. I live in Southern IL and have shot there in competitions many times over the last 20 years. That club is open to the public only for competitions. Otherwise it is a private club open only to members and guests. They do not have USPSA or IDPA. They do have rifle and handgun silhouette and some ppc comps. There is a USPSA match this Sunday in West Frankfort IL which is only 55 miles north of Paducah. Herb
  4. Why on God's Green Earth would you want to practice the classifier and get yourself classed above your ability. Just go shoot the thing and take what you get, as that will be a true reading of what you can really do. Then you will be shooting against others of the same ability at those big matches.
  5. Which rules do you have a problem with? Elaborate a little and maybe we could help out.
  6. Herb, The finer points of rules interpretation aside, if you can't get a 18 round (max) stage done in 22 or 25 or 31 (dunno about wheel guns) rounds, you should probably be looking at a solution other than packing more mags. Sit back and enjoy the show, Chuck I have never said I needed more mags. I only wanted to get a rules clarification. This came up at a match I was shooting last Sunday and just I just wanted to get a clear answer. I suppose we now have that since since HQ's answer has chimed in.
  7. I guess my question was not as simple as I thought it might be. I did not intend to open a can of worms.
  8. The rule book says no more than 2 spare mags on the belt but it doesn't say you can't get your barney mag from your posket and use it in a COF if needed. It doesn't say only 2 spare mags, it says only 2 mag carriers on the belt. It does not say you could not have 5 mags in your pockets. At least that's all I can find about it.
  9. I can only find in the rule book where it says you can have only 2 mag carriers on your belt. Can anyone tell me how many mags you can actually have on you during a course of fire? Can you have 2 on your belt and more stuffed in your pockets, or are you limited to only 2 and where in the rules does it say so?
  10. How do we know she's not engaging a target as she is moving?
  11. Hi Steve, yes it's possible. My wife and I have home made vests (that she made) made of light material with large side pockets. We have the 511 vests too, but we never use them. The home made ones are perfectly legal. we wear them over T-shirts and they are about 85 degrees cooler than the 511's. Where in IL are you? We are in Johnston City and we are match directors in West Frankfort at the Southern IL Gun Club. Herb
  12. Any one here know what division an H & K 40 fits in to? SSP or ESP
  13. I just got notice that the email addy does not work.
  14. I sent an email inquiring about this 2 days ago and have not had a responce.
