Just added Gorilla Grips from Millennium Custom. A precisely cut Scotts type grip tape specifically made for Glock, S&W M&P, and STI/SV pistols. This product is as good as any similar product on the market and readily available. In stock and ready to ship. More models will be available soon.

I just got a set of these for my Glock 34. There are no instructions on how to remove them, and I want to make sure it is something that is fairly easy to do before I put them on. So what is the process for removing them? Do all of the little tabs on the back strap portion go on over or under the side panels? Also, if I do not align everything perfectly the first time, will I be able to make some slight adjustments, or is the adhesive set almost instantaneously?

Thanks,

Kevin

Normally the tabs on the backstrap go under the side panels. Usually you can lift the grip and re-position if needed as the adhesive will not fully set for 24 hours or so. To remove, simply peel the grip off. If there is any adhesive residue left, it can be removed with alcohol, WE-40, or similar remover.

Other models are planned in the near future but I have no exact date. Pictures are also expected but again I have no exact date. If the pics are much delayed, I could throw a grip on a Glock and take some pics. The product is very similar to TruGrip and coverage area on each weapon is about the same as with that product.

I would prefer this grip over putting the glue on the grip and putting that sandblasting material on it. this stuff is easy on and easy off. Plus its cheap to buy, you dont have to buy a 50lb bag of that other stuff. you can just buy the grip panels and clean surface and apply. When your done it looks real good!

Thank you for the help. I just finished putting on the grip, and I think I am going to like it a lot.

Chris,

On the Millenium Custom website, they say the STI grip is re-shapen, so I guess they take some material off. What about the new Aluminum grips? would the G.grips cause the alu. grip to become wider/thicker than usual?

Cheers,

Noam

Anytime you add some sort of material to a surface, that surface gets bigger, wider, etc. obviously. However, with that being said, the grip material is thin and I suspect most people would never notice a difference in how the grip feels. Since the purchase you can get on the gun is so much better with the grip tape on, even if you think you can feel a difference in the size or thickness of the gun's grip after the tape is applied, the tradeoff is likely well worth it.

Thanks Again Chris!

Looks good. Did you sand down the grip or just stick it over an unmodified grip?

Thanks,

I did sand the grip down here is the prep on the grip before the Grip Tape install. I did not use the epoxy, I filled the bottom grip screw hole with JB weld

The directions do recommend for best results to fill checkered area with Plastic Weld 5 minute Epoxy and sand it smooth.

I like this Grip Tape so much that I am going to put it on my other gun but need to find out if I can fill all the stipples in it.(because I stippled my other grip last year)

I just got mine today from CPWSA and installed them on a G17, G22 and G34... Awesome grips, and, as usual, awesome/quick service from Chris.

Do you have a pic of one of them by chance? I'm curious to see what the grip looks like on a glock.

Chris, do you know if these grips are safe for Production guns as far as coverage goes?

not sure what you mean by safe...but they are legal if that's what you're asking.

I didn't do the best job cutting it around the magwell on my limited gun... went a little short (Gen 2 G22). Only cosmetic, could not feel it during the match. My 34 came out perfect .
