brent j
Just wondering if anyone uses Reloader 7 or 15 to load .223. I am loading 55 grain bullets and wanted to know what type of charge you used and if anyone knew which was better between the two and why you would use one over the other. SIE107
If you already have the RL15, then use it. If you have not gotten any powder yet. Then go with Varget. Varget is less temp sensitive than RL15. As for bullets.. why 55gr if I may ask.. why not SIE69's?

Religious Shooter
I use RL15 with 75's. I wouldn't use it with 55 plinkers because it meters badly in my measure. I'd use TAC or A2230 with 55 plinkers.

Shawn Knight
I am not sure what seems to be the trouble with RL15 but I love the stuff and I know lots of other NRA High Power shooters swear by it. It works very well for me out of my Redding powder measure on my 550. I also have a RCBS chargemaster I now use for my rifle loading. I have used varget in my other volumetric measures but tends to bridge more than RE15. I do like 2520 for my 75gr loads but I think there are better Ball powder for the lighter bullets. Tom D.
I, too, used Rl-15 in my Service Rifle. Good stuff for that. Now I'm using TAC under Montana Gold 55s which is a good combo for my current shooting.
