minnesota1
I just had my floors redone and have a new bench I will be making into a reloading bench. I don't really want to scratch up the floors under it so I thought about some type of cover under the floor. I don't know if I just need something solid for the four legs on it or if I just put something under the whole thing. Not sure if some type of solid rubber type item would work or what others have done. i appreciate your input. If you know a place to buy from I'd appreciate a link as well. Thanks!! dlightning
Depends on if you sit or stand. I stand so I put an area rubber mat from Costco down. It helps with cushioning so that I don’t get as fatigue for a long session of reloading. You need something that can be clean or sweep.
StuckinMS
Assuming you did hardwood, I would just go down to the flooring store and ask for a scrap piece of carpet and pad large enough for for to also stand on or place a chair on. If you spill something on it, it's no big deal to swap out.
jschweg
Those hard rubber tiles that you put together like puzzles work well. You can make it as big or small as you want it. Durable as well since this is basically what gyms use for their flooring.Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

MemphisMechanic
Screw on rubber feet from home depot on each leg of the bench. And trust us: screw your bench into the studs in the wall. The improvement is huge. You’re taking a prybar (the handle on the press) and torquing the bench up and down, in and out, thousands of times. Anchor it to the wall. Even if your bench is huge, like mine was. Edited June 22, 2018 by MemphisMechanic

Yes, what Memphis said... times like.. a THOUSAND. This is very important. In fact, OP, we only want to see a picture of you mounting it to the wall now. Don't worry about your floors.
