Holy shit it takes 7.9 grains to make power factor for 9 major?!

I load north of 8.5 of HS6 for a 124 to make a load that feels great with my set up. 7.4 of WAC is what I use for my main load.

Use the EGA JHP V2s. They are the best choice.

Said the dude sponsored by them. :roflol:

PD’s didn’t feed well in my gun...
The 124 jhp v2s from Everglades work awesome for me...
Montana’s of course do too but are a couple cents more...
Just got an email about the v2s coming back into stock...
Still got some 115s to test (I bought while their 124s were out) before I order another bulk order...

I wanted to like the PD 124 JHPs too, but my open gun didn't like feeding them either. I've gone thru several cases of MG CMJ 124. Can't get a better feeding bullet than the FMJ profile. When this case gets low, I'm definitely going to try the EGA 124.

I almost "bit the bullet" on 115gr V2 EGA's due to the 124 shortage.

Please tell us the results of the testing.

That is all I shoot, and they are legit. I only shoot 115s, regardless of manufacturer. Load them with lots of slow powder.

Just started with 9mm major. I have ordered some of the Everglades JHP v2's and like them, but I am wondering if the competition style is better. Any thought? Or other manufactures to look at?

Thanks,

I would say it depends on your gun and barrel.  If you can load long to fit your mag, and have a short chamber leade, the V2 will allow a longer maximum OAL than the conical type JHP will.

My CK for example requires a 1.145" max OAL when loading a 115gr Hornady HAP,  but I can get out to 1.180" loading the JHP V2.

Oh I did not think of the difference between the two. I have loaded the EGA 124 v2's to 1.17. with no issues so far.
I have a box of 115 XTPs I loaded but did not plunk test in the barrel.
