IHAVEGAS
I'm going to guess that if I find a used stock 2 or similar in 40 one day I will be unable to use the 1.18 oal ammo I have loaded for my 2011. Anybody have relevant experience? Thanks!
kujo929
I use 1.135 for major and minor 40. Could probably go longer but haven’t had the need. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
costeel
While my stock 2 barrel will plunk and spin up to 1.19, I ran into magazine length and feeding issues when I loaded longer than 1.140.

waktasz
Around 1.135 I believe. Long loaded 40 won't even fit in the mag. I have used the same OAL since my Glock shooting days.

johnbu
You CAN load long in a 40sw s2 IF you use 10mm magazines. Then your only limitation is the plunk n spin limit. But, unlike 9mm, the 40sw typically has enough room for pretty long lengths. Ymmv, as they say.
bulm540
1.120 oal but have gone out to 1.145 .
JROTTY
I found that 1.125 works best in my limited custom. With an OAL of 1.135 , I would get an occasional FTF and I could only load mags to 18 rounds (with Hennings base pads). With the 1.125 OAL, I can load to 20 rounds and no FTF issues. IHAVEGAS
Thanks all. Should have a Stock 2 40 in hand next week. Don't suppose anyone has a pet recipe for 180 grain bayou bullets?
JROTTY
Using 180 grn blue bullets over 4.3 grns of Titegroup gives a PF ~170. Previously, I was using Berry's plated 180s with the same recipe. Edited January 28, 2018 by JROTTY
