BlueBulletBeaker
Very surprised that Doug Koenig left Smith and Wesson. He has been with them forever.
Rudukai13
It will be interesting to see what guns he decides to run. Does Koenig shoot open pistol anywhere? Most interested to see what Ruger comes up with for him in that regard...

Crazy Scientist
I am mildly optimistic. Maybe Ruger can get into the handgun action with some decent models. We've seen CZ(and Tanfo) slap Glock/S&W around in production division and Ruger did some very nice things with the precision rifle so they are obviously paying attention to trends. I'm not a marketing guy, but I think there are some gains to be had in sport shooting with both shotgun and handguns (AR market is oversaturated tbh). Handgun may be late with CZ taking a big chunk (I am reminded when I started, everyone shot glocks, now we all have shadows....), but limited may have some gains to be taken. Remington is washed up so its good to have a replacement. Ruger has made some strong strides over the years, so fingers crossed they dont screw the pooch on this one.
