Sub2k gen 2?

Recommended Posts

Hello: Yes, we have a couple of them here and they seemed to work fine. One thing is that they are using ammo in the 140PF range or factory ammo. Trying to run it with 125PF ammo will cause problems just like some blowback AR9's with stock heavy buffer setups. Thanks, Eric

I ran a Gen 2 Glock mag version in a few matches, but ended up selling it for a few reasons.

1. You can not disassemble the receiver to clean and lube the trigger group.

2. The trigger has a lot of creep, and is heavy.

3. The recoil is very sharp. Adding two 7/8" dia. rubber washers helped.

4. Adding optics is difficult and expensive.

5. The front sight windage adjustment is held in place by a spring.

6. The carbine does not have a last round bolt hold open.

7. The factory picatinny/m-lok forearm had to be shimmed to remove any movement.

It was fun to shoot after I replaced the front sight post with a Hi-viz fiber front post, but it was difficult to hang with the AR-9s, MPXs, and CZ Scorpions.

Thanks for the responses. I had a gen 1 that I ran in scsa matches and used for hd etc. but I did have to run heavier loads in it to be reliable. I was thinking about a gen 2 with my current M&P mag set up. I'm under no illusions of grandeur competition wise, I was wondering how it ran in dynamic situations.
