Question: .357 Magnum Rifle Rounds.

Since I already have the Single Action Army in .357, I think it would be nice to get a matching Rifle.

Dream Gun would be Winchester 1873, 24" Straight grip, round barrel.

What would be the better way to go with ammo? Heavy 158gr or light 125gr?

158 or 180, but I am not sure I would really try to crank up the power in the 73 Winchester (like even giving it a steady diet of commercial 357s).  The 92 models are by far the strongest, but the marlin, henry, and 94 Winchesters will handle anything in the sane levels of 357 loading.  The 125 bullets will be problematic at the velocities that they can be driven out of the rifles, this is assuming hunting, for targets they may be fine.

I would lean toward the 158s then.  If you haven't already, look at ballistics by the inch.  357 is one of the rounds that gains a tremendous amount of velocity from a rifle
