What LB recoil and mainspring for 45

I am in the process of setting up my TRP for single stack major and wondering what springs everyone is running thinking about a 19 lb mainspring and a 15 lb recoils I run 230 grain hardball

17 main cause it will light all primers

14-17 lbs recoil depending on loads

Old school thought was get the brass 6-8 feet at 3-4 o'clock

Most of us go by feel of the gun and how fast the sights come backc on target without the front sight dipping below the target as the slide returns to battery.

Variable springs tend to help with that IMHO

17 lb main spring and 14 lb recoil for my 200gr SWC shooting Major. I like ISMI chrome silicon.

what kinda fire control set up ?
Also this would be a back country carry gun, LWT commander.
My competition guns run a 18lb ISMI MS, with a titanium firing pin, mainspring cap and hammer strut, 
dcalvert, are you running that setup with steel components  and any brand of primer ?

If so I should have no issues with a 17. as I may just forgo the titanium firing pin, but will use the cap and strut.
