PrimaryBruce
Just got a brand new one. Using it to test known trigger weights, I seem to be getting about a pound lighter on pull weights. And that’s gauging off the middle of the trigger shoe, not the bottom. Oddly enough, it only seems to be off on weights lower than about 4 lbs. DA pull weights for example seem to be about dead on. Any input?
Hi-Power Jack
Possible that "known trigger weights" might have lightened with use, over the years. I'd test it with a known weight (piece of 5 lb steel)

drewbeck
Ya or test against another gauge at the same time with same gun and compare. Also make sure you aren’t getting trigger bounce/hitting over travel stop and throwing it off.You also need to ensure the gun doesn’t move while testing. If it moves at all near the break you’ll be offsetting the weight and the reading will be lighter than reality.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
magpulled
I have one and it was dead on last I checked. It’s probably a couple years old. I have small weights that I check it with periodically
lfine
I'm glad I came across this. I was getting paranoid about my results and never thought the gauge might be off. Took your advice and used some weights to check it. Dead on. Great tip.
