Flatland Shooter
On Halloween 2002 I officially retired. My first task as a free person was to disconnect the alarm clock on my nightstand. For the last decade and a half I go to bed and wake up the next morning on my schedule. I'm still and early riser, but now I do not need to get up at 5:30 AM to be on the road by 6:15 AM. I do set my alarm occasionally but that's reserved for match days. All other days are fair game. I really like retirement. It was worth the wait. Retirement began in earnest when the youngest daughter finished her higher education. That was like a huge raise (as well as a load off my mind). Besides, with a 4 year old you wouldn't get to sleep in late. Defeats a good benefit of retirement.

Hi-Power Jack
I've been young and working hard, and I am currently old and hardly working, and BELIEVE ME, I'd rather be young and working hard ....
CoyoteMW
I too have been young and working hard. Now I’m older and still working hard, but not for much longer. Retirement will be sweet. Looking forward to it. ?
