which slide will fit best .756 rails

so as a winter hobby i want to replace the slide on my cracked open gun by myself.  i found a guy that will machine the new slide to match the old one .  now i need to chose a slide. the old one is a Caspian .  i measure the frame  rail and they are .756 wide.  i would like to take a little off as neccesary .  i  remember reading that the slide makers like STI /CK /Caspian all have different rail dimensions .  

 

in your experience which slide maker has the closest to what i am looking for ?

Caspian slides are generally .752 or slightly larger.  STI Slides are wider.  Both of my STI slides are wider than .756+". I have no experience with CK slides, but because of what I have heard, I'd go with Caspian.

Hello, I would choose either STI or CK Arms, in my experience both usually measure about .755 - .756 on the inside rail width.  Why make the fitting harder on yourself and that's probably why your frame rails are at .756 during the initial slide / frame fitting.
