Boudreaux78
Very new to reloading and don't know much. Looking for complete load data for a round to use at 170 pf. Thinking about precision delta or Montana gold 180 JHP or FMJ. Please help!

Boudreaux78
What OAL do you use and what primers? Also what power factor are you getting? Thank you chance
Mushki25
This is a little off topic but will help others using the search feature later. I am able to make 169 pf using 4.7 grains of titegroup behind a 170 grain lead cast bullet at 1.185 long in a 5" Scheuermann barrel.
RangerTrace
Mine was 5.4 grains of N320, under a 180 grain Zero TMJ to 1.20"
Boudreaux78
Thank you Ranger Trace. Heard you talking about infinity guns for so long, I went and purchased one. Best purhcase I have ever made. What an amazing work of art

Go with Zeros or MG bullets and the load I described. It will make major and is very accurate.
Boudreaux78
Do you use plated or jacketed bullets?
Boudreaux78
So I loaded 5.4 of N320 pushing a extreme heavy plated 180 grain bullet loaded to 1.20 OAL in a Winchester once fired case with a federal 100 primer. Made 170 PF at the nationals and was very accurate.
enzo357
3.7 grains of Titegroup. 200gr polymer coated bullets. 1.175 OAl 172pf at 2017 Nats. 5.4 Schuemann barrel. AET. Range Brass, Win SPP.
RangerTrace
I had way better luck with jacketed. Supposedly with the new designed barrels you can use plated. Never worked for me.
Boudreaux78
I will say they were very accurate. No problems at all. Shot a sub 2 in group at 20 yards unsupported. Probably going to try Montana gold jacketed next though. any recommendations between MG or PD?
osw333
I have a 5in SV, use 180gr Xtreme plated bullet, N320 at 5.3gr, 1.185 oal average 170+.Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

Never worked for me.Plated just worked okay for me in a non-aet SV barrel. I haven't even bothered to try them in the AET SV barrel. :-)MG's work well but are pricey. :-)I'm using Blue Bullets 180's and only need 4.7gr of N320 and they are a good bit cheaper than the plated. Boudreaux78
Forgot to add, you have to use the heavy plated bullets from extreme. The regular plated bullets don't work at all. Will not get better than a six inch group at 20 yards.
