Shootingbeaver
I ran into some issues this past weekend shooting the idpa patriot tier 2 match when it came to stowing magazines as part of the course of fire. I was shooting an officer frame 1911 and had trouble picking up the single stack mags and stowing them in my single stack mag pouch. Now if I had a well on my mag pouch like I do on my gun things could have been a little easier and faster. Does anyone know of a company that makes flared single stack magazine pouches? I know I could get some kydex and make my own but would prefer just to order one instead. or does anyone stow the mags somewhere else instead of in your mag pouch? Jim Watson
I got my bugle mouth mag pickup and stow pouches from Ready Tactical. But I shoot with the maker and got them direct, I don't know if his distributors are ordering them. CPWSA and SKD Tac.

Jim Watson
Mine were a help at The Masters. Easier start on the "pick up and stow" stages.

Shootingbeaver
Thanks. They look like nice pouches. Price seems a little high. I may buy some kydex and try my own.
Buzzdraw
Methinks a flared mouth mag pouch would be considered as "competition only" and not suitable for everyday use. See Rule 8.6.2.A. Remember that "stow" does NOT mean that mags picked up off a table or the ground, potentially for use later on in the stage, have to go into a mag pouch. ChuckS
If your mag pouches are kydex, you can put a bevel on the inside to ease loading and not look like you are using competition equipment for your next IDPA competition.
Shootingbeaver
I may order some kydex. Looking at 8.6.2a it doesn’t seem like a slight bevel would disqualify me as long as it’s nothing crazy.
