Orbit
Hi, I am preparing my newly bought but used Dillon RL550B for the action of reloading 9mm minor, 9mm major and 40 minor. I did cleaned and lube the dillon reloading structures and now in the process of starting to clean the dies and its toolheads. How to properly clean these dies and toolheads? detaching one at a time? and without removing from the toolheads? Thanks. Steve RA
Take them apart and tumble in corn cob or walnut.
dillon
If your Dillon handgun dies are of the current design, then on the seating and crimping dies, you merely pull off the spring clip at the top of the die. This allows the interior part of the die to drop out for cleaning without having to unscrew and readjust the die. On the size die, unscrew the depriming assembly and clean the interior with a cotton swab and solvent.
