AussieTactical
What do people use for storage when they are loading several hundred rounds at a time? Just an MTM style box, or something else? I am not keen on just throwing them in a box together. I would rather something that keeps each round separated.

4n2t0
1K "ready for the range" rounds in Dillon boxes, they mate perfectly with my Hundo, and the rest in large heavy duty zip lock bags.
78Staff
I use LG/1050 sized Dillon bins on shelves, and .30 cal cans for overflow.

Just load a big bucket of boom booms, gauge them and case them before you need them to go boom. I.e. Load them into whatever and then check them all before (a day, week, year) before you're relying on them for a score. how you store them in between is irrelavent as long as they're dry and not soaked in oil
Hi-Power Jack
I place them into empty ammo boxes - 50 round boxes of the same caliber (9mm in my case). Some have plastic inserts - prefer them for longer term storage. But, for short term storage, even cardboard boxes are just fine. You get a nice count of the ammo. Each bullet is protected. Easy to check the primers (is there one? Is it too high?) Easy to reload your mags - pull the ammo out of the bottom box enough to show 10 rounds, and dump the ten into your hand - reload. Work very well for me

muncie21
Bulk storage for practice ammo (not every round is case gauged) and hinged 100-count plastic cases for match ammo
Maximis228
I use old xtreme boxes. They hold about 400 rounds (9MM) per box and that is my average practice session. For match ammo I use MTM boxes.
mikeinctown
I only load a thousand at a time so Dillon boxes for me. They go right into my range bag as needed and because I shoot production, the rows of 10 make it really easy to know that I have exactly 10 rounds being put into the mags. The ones I make for my girlfriend go in a big tupperwear container.
