JAB
now with everyone shooting 8 shot revolvers is it worth keeping and shooting my 625 or should i just join the 8 shot revolvers what would be the pro or cons if any
EEH
Cost of new gun,, Can't sell the 625 so go ahead and shoot it.. Edited August 2, 2017 by EEH
jcc7x7
Shoot L-6 in ICORE if there is a local shoot. Use it for classifiers as I can load my 625 faster than my 8 shot guns. That just proves I don't dryfire practice enough!!!!
perttime
Do you want to keep winning all the matches - or do you go to participate and have fun?
jhgtyre
If it's a 4" 625 it is perfectly good for IDPA.

synchronicity
I am just getting started in IDPA and I Really enjoy shooting my 625. Of Course I Really enjoy SS 45acp 1911's too. Shoot what you like.
Distant Thunder
If you have a chance to try some friend's/competitor's 8-shot models see which platform you prefer (9mm or .38). Add up the cost of the mods you'd want to make, including reloading gear if applicable, and see if it'd be worth it to you to make the switch. If you decide it's for you then shoot what you've got until you can save up the cost of making the jump. Be honest in evaluating your skill level as to what difference you'd see in the results as well. Either way, by all means, have fun!

PatJones
Unless you're within a few percent of the revolver shooter you're trying to catch at your local matches, it doesn't matter what you shoot. I dug out the 625 this spring, and beat an 8 shooter and all of the single stack shooters.
