S&W686
This coming weekend I will be shooting my first USPSA match in carry optics with my Sig P320 X5. A fellow shooter asked me if the magwell that came with the X5 would be USPSA legal to have on the gun or would I need to remove it. I told him that I did not know. Can someone clarify this for me. Thanks
MD-Dave
I believe that since it would not be legal for Production, it would need to be removed for CO. Someone please correct me, if I am wrong. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
GregJ
Not allowed. 21.4 Grips Replacement grip panels are allowed provided they do not extend below the butt of the gun to form a make-shift magwell. Grip modifications such as, but not limited to, undercutting/smoothing the trigger guard, adding or removing finger grooves, or adding stippling, grip tape, or checkering are specifically allowed, without reference to Appendix E4. Grip tape or grip sleeves cannot disengage a grip safety. 22.3 Magwell opening The longitudinal (front-to-back) dimension of the opening may be more than 1/4” greater than the corresponding dimension of a magazine. External flaring remains PROHIBITED.
sfinney
The X-5 is approved for Production minus the magwell. So thus its CO legal minus the magwell. Production list: "P320 X-5 9mm 5 inch, no magwell (33.5 oz.)"
