truespode Posted June 29, 2017 Share Posted June 29, 2017 I just got my FNS 9L cut for a Vortex Viper red dot but only have these two holsters to use and wasn't sure if they are legal with the barrel hanging out. Rule book only says the slide has to cover up to the side (or 1/2" I think) but Yaqui holsters are exempt so not sure if this may qualify? Don't want to get DQ'd my first CO match. eric4069 Posted June 30, 2017 Share Posted June 30, 2017 I believe they are fine by the rule, however if your production holster is kydex you can just do what I did and use a Dremel to grind away a little bit of holster material where the optic hits the holster until you get it to fit. eric Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
truespode Posted June 30, 2017 Author Share Posted June 30, 2017 Thanks... my production holster has a Captain America Shield design that covers over the slide and I would hate to dremel it out even a little. I was also concerned the top one didn't cover the trigger guard enough but as long as the bottom one is legal then I should be good to go. Thanks!!
