Empty shotgun rule question

Recommended Posts

Define "usually".

IMA (SMM3G), RM3G, USPSA Multigun Rules and others that I am aware of do not require that "...all must come from your belt or the ammo location"  They specifically state that ...spare ammunition, magazines and or speed loading devices may be carried anywhere on the shooters person or firearm.  Your rule set may differ from these.

Empty is in the tube or chamber. Stage saver is legal as far as I know. Its all about what rule set they are using as well as the stage brief. If it says unloaded start but doesn't mention bolt forward you can either start bolt rear and toss the stage saver in as you are picking it up or start bolt forward and quad load away but then have to chamber one.
