Scratchthejeepguy
Setting up a 3 gun practice stage and have a quick question... Lets say the stage calls for an empty shotgun start, can the matchsaver have a shell in it?
AHI
Every rule set I know of yes but with so many (out law)diferent rules . Ask the match derector at the matach you plain on shooting.
Hupperware
Usually there cannot be one on the gun... all must come from your belt or the ammo location.
Rookie
Define "usually". IMA (SMM3G), RM3G, USPSA Multigun Rules and others that I am aware of do not require that "...all must come from your belt or the ammo location" They specifically state that ...spare ammunition, magazines and or speed loading devices may be carried anywhere on the shooters person or firearm. Your rule set may differ from these.
sam_b
Empty is in the tube or chamber. Stage saver is legal as far as I know. Its all about what rule set they are using as well as the stage brief. If it says unloaded start but doesn't mention bolt forward you can either start bolt rear and toss the stage saver in as you are picking it up or start bolt forward and quad load away but then have to chamber one. Woodsk
I've shot stages where the WSB required that the match saver be empty
Scratchthejeepguy
Thanks everybody, I guess it's really up to the stage designer, makes sense.

toothandnail
All depends on what the WSB says, if it just says empty start, rounds can be ON the gun, if it says ALL rounds must come from the belt/shooter/staging table, that's what it means.
