Chronographs

A friend of mine has a Pro Chrono. It stays in his truck box and always works.

How would you say the Chrony brand compares to the Pro Chrono?  I just want to buy once and get good readings.

And on a side note, I saw some GM's online that like the Pocket Pro II timer. I was all set on the CED7000. Now I'm not sure.

I have a ProChrono and like it OK.  I have a Magneto Speed I like better because it is easier top setup at the gun club I shoot at.  If price is no object you could consider a Lab Radar.  There is some innaccuracy in chronographs and here is a review Brian Litz did in case your obsessive like me:  http://www.appliedballisticsllc.com/Articles/ChronographChapter.pdf

After reading the above it's obvious the Oehler is the best so it is good that it is available again.

I've got an older 35-P and a Pro Chrono (which wasn't tested) and do use both but usually use the Pro Chrono as it is smaller and less problem to transport and set up.

Pro Chrony is a great unit.  Especially for the price.

I use a mylabradar - use this a lot, as I can setup quickly in an indoor range or outdoor in any lighting condition.

X2 on labradar.

I use a basic "Shooting Chrony" (http://www.shootingchrony.com/) and it's simple and good enough.  I've had three (shot the first two).  The first two were right on line with what I was chrony'd at during major matches, but this latest one is consistently 2-3 pf units low.  Because it is consistent, I don't have any problems with it (I was really close at a major once before I knew, so I'd suggest you compare to a friend's unit whenever you get a new one).
