mitommy
I wish the forend on my Versa Max was not quite so big I just noticed that Mesa Tactical has a replacement part I assume this would fit I'm my VM Tactical Does anybody have any experience with the Mesa Tactical Mohawk forend for Versa Max? specifically is it any slimmer than the OEM? here is the link https://mesatactical.com/products/mohawk-forend-for-rem-versa-max-12-ga-black/
Chriswakey
Looks very Tacticool, don't know how practical it might be! I smoothed out the forend on my Versa to ease quad loading but if it's the width/bulk then it may work.
12Bravo
Sounds like Tooth and Nail is going to be releasing a custom Versamax forearm specifically for competition in the near future.

12Bravo
Any chance T&N does something up for those poor 930 guys at some point?
Chriswakey
I just hope the new slimmed down forend will be exportable to the UK as I'd be interested.

The poor 930 guys have an option, but it requires a donor Mossberg forearm.

We have talked about doing handgaurds for other platforms. We may look into them in the future. Currently we are still in the development phase on the VM. After we finalize everything we may look into other models.

adamge
I tried grip tape on my VM last year. I lasted about 14 rounds before I had to take it off, it was ripping up my hands. Has anyone tried this carbide grip surfaces on a shotgun? I'll admit that I have a desk job and work on computers all day long so much hands don't have tough skin. LoganbillJ
I did 60 grit on one of my buddies VM hg. He dry fires religiously 30 minutes each day. He said for that it was too rough so he started putting masking tape over it for dry fire. He said for matches the grit was perfect. We have done 80 grit as well which is even more mild. I run 36 on my pistol.
adamge
Interesting. I was using home hardware store grip tape, no idea what number rating it would be. How are you guys applying regular sand paper to guns?
rondog
I was just going to ask this too because I think I could use some on my m&p. Dont mean to hijack thread in different direction.
LoganbillJ
Using silicone carbide. Have 36, 60 and 80 grit.
rondog
But what do you use to glue the sandpaper to a stippled grip
LoganbillJ
Not using sand paper. Using 36 grit silicon carbide and epoxy. Same stuff people use in rock tumblers.

Chriswakey
I have one and I've tried to get it to go on and it just won't fit. It's a very expensive desk ornament at present.
