Ready for a pre-match giveaway? Saint Patrick's day is right around the corner. Do you feel lucky?

Jeff Hicks and Practical Shooting Sports LLC has assisted the match with some purchases. Thanks Jeff!

We've purchased a CZ75 SP01 Tactical. The day after Saint Patrick's day, a winner will be randomly selected. To be eligible, you must be registered and "paid" by midnight Central Time on 3/17/2017.

This is a competitor only (staff not eligible) drawing. As for staff, we'll have something specifically for match staff at a later date.  You will be taken care of and recognized for safely managing your stages and match and facilitating an environment for all these fine folks to compete.

So shooters, get signed up!  Happy to have you!

Stages have been submitted.  The current structure is 13 stages (318 rounds) plus chrono.  So 1590 points on the table.  Attached is a link to the DRAFT of the stages and squad matrix.  With this being an "Illinois" Sectional, stage names are named after Illinois State Parks.  Some Parks are bigger than others, some stages are as well.  However, all are there for you to get outside and enjoy yourself...as are the stages.  There may be some tweaks along the way to include slight modifications in addition to adding more, yet to be announced, stage sponsors.  In the meantime, getting them out here for you ahead of time with the understanding things can change until the "official" match book is shared and sent out.

First, THANK YOU all. We have almost 160 shooters and staff attending at this point and the match is still about 5 months out. So far, shooters from 16 different states are attending.

Congrats Rob Kosack! Overall outstanding police officer, father, shooter, and guy in general. Maybe convert you to a CZ guy after all.

Couple milestones to announce:

1. All 13 stages are sponsored. So unless I throw a sponsor on the Chrono stage, we're all set in that regard.

2. Stages were submitted and approved by DNROI and we have received back the signed/approved Form C and are officially a USPSA sanctioned match. So you may start seeing "USPSA" added to some of the match marketing materials.

With stages approved, once I get a few more of the stage sponsor's logos to add to the stages, I'll be sending out the updated/revised version of the stage drawings. Match book is being drafted as well and will be coming at a later date.

My personal goal is to try and get registrations to 200 by match time. Right now, were between the 150 and 160 mark with some staff yet to register. The match is four months away.

Looking forward to seeing you all there:

Registration update: Thanks to all that have already registered. There are only about 100 days left until match time. Saturday all day sqauds are filling up. There is still a decent amount of slots left for 3 of those squads. We have some room for expansion in the schedule to add additional squads if the need arises so don't let that deter you or your friends from registering. Sunday all day squads have a lot more availability with 4 squads essentially wide open. Feel free to contact me (2017IllinoisSectional@gmail.com) if you have any questions.

Less than 3 months until match day.

Having 188 people registered for the match is a good thing. Doesn't quite roll off the tongue very well when people ask "How many are registered?" However, 200 and saying "over 200" sounds much better.

So, to celebrate, as soon as we hit 200, the match will give away a Hundo case guage (in winner's caliber of choice) to two registered individuals.

Another Saturday squad has been opened to accommodate scheduling.
