jmorris
Nowhere else this would go and it is an electric device. I took a broken refrigerator and turned it into an incubator 3 weeks ago using various parts I had on hand. I used a PID controller to turn on and off two 25 watt light bulbs to maintain the temperature between 99.3-99.7 deg F. I also took a humidifier and switched it off and on to maintain 50% humidity for the first 18 days then 65% for the last 3. I used part of a hot dog cooker to turn them throughout the day. This is pretty much it except for the extra light and auto humidity control. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gzkJZbsuxj0 After 10 days this is the chick forming and moving around inside. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KT-PzV8xWwI And after the very long 21 days they take this is what a 4 year old looks like holding a baby chick that is an hour old.
