ZackJones
Copied from Facebook. Bold emphasis added by me:Web Update...We moved over to a completely new architecture based on Amazons elastic cloud, S3 and RDS services with a load balancer in front. The system scales up from 3 servers running all the time to as many as needed to handle load. This worked during the recent A7 registration peak, with scaling up to 10 active servers. Our current short list for web stuff (this week and next is):- clean up registration options that compete with each other.(e.g. pay at match, don't pay at match)- add a way for match organizers to require paymentto register, while giving sponsored and staff shootersa way around the paywall.- tie web results to personal profile pages automatically(this will find your phone, email, member number in recordsto do this). This is done when creating a profile, butnot actively updated. It will be.- tie web results to club profile pages automatically. To do this you simply specify the club you are postingfor. It will happen. If the club manager(s) disagreethey can unassociate the match.- tighten USPSA results format to show more informationon primary overall, division, class, and category results.- Generate USPSA activity files from web posting(this will provide it for iOS and for Android users)And, of course, any show stopping bugs that pop up along the way.Our web guru, Bryan Williams, has been working overtime to do this switch and keep things going during it. My compliments to him on the effort. A new web developer will be adding the USPSA activity files as his first project with the team.Bear in mind, that isn't the ENTIRE list forever, just what we will focus on for next week or two.Ken N.
