What kind of results are you folks seeing accuracy wise with polymer production guns?

Am thinking about getting a new barrel & similar tweaks made to an XD but kind of hesitant because so far I can't find anyone who tells me anything beyond "$200 for a new match barrel" . I'm assuming that the polymers all have about the same potential, and that there is no big accuracy winner anywhere on the approved gun list, but that may be a bad guess.

I don't have an XDm 5.25 but the ones I have tried are very accurate. I would say more accurate than other polymer guns.

I don't know about the other polymer guns but the XDM 5.25 I have is very accurate. 5 shot groups at 15 yards measure 3/4 inch and could be smaller if I could see better....hold the pistol better or move the target closer and have it stop moving when I pull the trigger.

M&P pro ported 5" in 9mm

That's not a Production gun.

Sure it is.

M&P Pro series 5 9mm (29.2 oz.)

Ported models are allowed providing that the barrel is non-ported and the other requirements are met.

Check the NROI list again. That caveat isn't under Smith and Wesson.

I think it's whatever gun you like and are going to practice with.

Many have done well with Glock 17 / 34.

Tanfoglio is popular because some of the top production shooters use them.

Others have gone far with XDm and M&P so it's just a matter of what fits you and what you are willing to put the time in with to practice.
