Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I was just reviewing the January 2018 Rule book and I noticed that in Appendix D4 (Heavy Metal Tactical Division) there seems to be a contradiction. Item 3 (Minimum caliber / Cartridge), under Handgun, it lists .429 / 44 Special. But in item 6 (Minimum Caliber for Major), again under Handgun, it lists .40 / 10mm. I'm guessing one might just be a typo but which is correct?
  2. I know a couple of people who do this. Seem to work well.
  3. I'm curious about trying Carry Optics Division. Where can I find the criteria for that division; ie: is there another annex in the rule book? If so, I can't find it.
  4. This will be my first Area 2 / Desert Classic! I'm very much looking forward to it.
  5. Flying out tomorrow morning. Haven't shot an IDPA major match since 2009 Georgia State. Really looking forward to this one!
  6. I concur. Kathy has been doing a wonderful job.
  7. The Royal Canadian Dragoons are the senior cavalry/armoured regiment in the Canadian Army. http://www.dragoons.ca/ I'm an 'extra-regimentally employed' member currently working as a staff officer (in the rank of Captain) at a Canadian Forces Recruiting Centre.
  8. I notice on the Phoenix Rod and Gun Club's website that they plan on holding the 2013 Arizona State Championships: http://www.phoenixrodandgun.org/Calendars/2013/Apr_2013.htm But there's nothing on the IDPA Major Matches page: http://www.idpa.com/major_match.asp. Anyone have any info/update?
  9. Apparently - http://1911ssc.org/default.html
  10. Here's my S&W Model 66 snubbie:
  11. Thursday is pay day so I'll be sending in my registration then. Massimo Novati - C Class - Calgary, Alberta, Canada http://ca.maps.yahoo.com/#q1=Calgary%2C+AB&q2=Barry%2C+IL%2C+United+States&lat=45.421749&lon=-75.691162&zoom=5&mvt=m&trf=0
  12. Any update as to when registration will open?
  13. Totally uncalled for comment but not a surprise considering the source. And since you brought it it up, nor are many shooters in Alberta; and getting fewer. It seems Bob's (and by extension you, as one of his lap dogs) legacy will be the killing of the largest and most active IDPA club in Canada.
  14. RAZZ: The Spartan is the model with the cast frame (Phillipines). The Trojan and the Sentry are almost the same - same internals. http://www.stiguns.com/guns/Sentry/Sentry.php http://www.stiguns.com/guns/Trojan5.0/Trojan50.php Nope. RAZZ is correct. Trojan (and, as you point out, Spartan) frames are cast and the Sentry (as well as the USPSA Single Stack, one of which I acquired last summer) frames are forged.
