Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. We have been around for a number of years now. It just seems that people come and go so often that it is hard to keep the numbers up. If everyone goes to the Cup this year that said they were in June of '07 then it will be around 12 just from our club. Unfortunetly life always seems to get in the way. Many of the dozen will not be making it this year.
  2. c-more all the way! Just easy to set-up and point then shoot.
  3. Ruger's are hard to beat. Inexpensive and just keep on working.
  4. If there is a re-shoot, you only need to re-shoots the strings that were affected. You do not need to shoot the entire event over. Of course, I normally go up about 100 rounds on my and at least another 100 in my bag that I take with me into the event.
  5. We have a match at Prado Olympic Shooting Park each month using all four of the events. There is a practice on the first sunday and the match on the second sunday of the month. Prado is in San Bernardino County but is within 5 miles of Riverside, Orange and Los Angeles Counties. For more info, bwhited@pacbell.net
  6. Almost ...as far as safty yes , but in USPSA one foot can be lifted off the ground during the shot - so long as it is not touch out side the box. In SC bouth feet must be touch down in the box for the first two shots/targets. A few years back one of the Ro's on Flying M asked me to move slower so that he could tell if my feet were still on the gound durring the first two shots I never did find out if he was just messing with me. Yes, he was puller your leg. Actually if the bullet hits a plate then another plate it does not count. Have seen it on Speed Option, hit the option and it also its the stop plate. I asked Mike Dalton about it and he said that it is ruled as range equipment failure and it is a re-shoot.
  7. Shot it that why this weekend and did not really care for it. It just was a different starting position more then anything bad. In fact, I do think it is a great idea. It added about 13 seconds to my score. The biggest issue I have with it is how it will be handled. Will the flag be 12' in front of the starting box or the center of the stage? How will the RO have you start? Looking at the flag or at the plate? Of course the firearm has to be pointing at the flag but does that mean you have to be looking at the flag? Spoke to Mike Dalton about this and his reply was "what ever the RO allows". If it was defined if you have to be looking at the flag and the positions of the flags then I will be 100% behind this new rule. Right now I can only be 95% behind it.
  8. How about this one? http://www.take-5rimfire.com/Ruger-Rimfire...Home-new-r1.htm
  9. It is soooooo much fun to draw the firearm from a holster that was not unlocked. It is like a wedgie.
  10. The 012 does not have near the security of the Ghost. I have use both for a number of years (012 is basically the same as the 011). Guess which one drops the firearm more offen? The 012 by a large multiple. The only way a Ghost will drop the firearm is if you do something wrong. The 012 will drop the firearm more times then I care to remember just from moving around and not holding onto the firearm.
  11. I've shoot anywhere from a 3 to 15 moa dot and saw one guy shooting a 20 moa. The 20 moa was too big for me but for a long time my best SC score was with a 15 moa. Currently I am running an 8 moa and it works great! 8 moa is big enough to quick up quickly but not too big to block out the target. 4 moa can be hard to find at times. If you pick it up quickly everytime then it works for you.
  12. I talked to him on Roundabout (I believe his third stage) and he had already broken two guns.
  13. Don't forget about Bianchi Cup What about mid-May ??

    Good Luck!

Nobody mentioned that JJ shoot 5 to go in 10.05 seconds setting a new Worlds Record. The next shooter up was Max Michael who set a new Worlds Record at 10.02 seconds.
