Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. The grip on the Glock 21 is huge in comparision to the Glock 17. It could be throwing off your grip and trigger finger position which affects your accuracy.. On my glock 30,(my carry gun) I use Glock 21 mags for my reloads. It is much easier to grab the larger mag off the belt.
  2. It was a great day exposing so many new shooters to the sport.
  3. Like they said in the Army "If it isn't raining you aren't training".
  4. Welcome to the site, hope to see you a Crooked Creek Pistol League this year.
  5. I always try to engage any target array that the stage designer throws at me. I don't try to game too much. It is there imagination agains my skill ??? I figure the worst thing that can happen is I have fun and something new to work on.
  6. Turning the glock safety off will go down as a classic blunder. But overall, I enjoyed the show and look forward to where it may lead.
  7. Develop a good plan that works for you. Once you have the plan set. Close your eyes and visualize the draw, movement to each target and shooting each array. If you can visualize the plan it enables you execute your plan better and shoot each target in order. Also once you visualize the plan - don't change it. Learned that one the hard way several times.
  8. I was in the same boat as you and got a 5" 625 - I sent it to get Carmonized and should get it back this week. Can't wait.
  9. I am part of group of guys that usually travel 1 to 1 1/2 hours to shoot a local match. We always shoot 2 guns (I shoot production and L-10). Most matches count both guns while one match only counts the first gun put shows where the 2nd gun placed in the standings. It only makes sense if you are traveling that to make the most of you time and get as much practice as possible.
  10. Welcome, I hope to see you at Crooked Creek Conservation Club the 4th Sunday on the month.
  11. My first DQ this weekend also (180 violation). What suck is that it was a new shooter who was thoughly enjoying his first outing and got too excited.
  12. At local matches I try to be the first shooter in the squad. I am getting used to devolping a plan with the shorter prep time on the easier local stages. It also forces me really gauge how to shoot muliple swingers on the walk through. I am hoping it pays dividends at the larger matches.
