Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I also have 2 JP Rifle uppers. The comp on one has the additional port on the right side. The other does not. I did notice the one with the additional port moving less. I was curious if there some new design change that some comp manufacturers were doing to get better performance after noticing the same change on the surefire comps.
  2. Not sure what the performance difference is between the two. I know the MB556K is supposed fit the suppressor but I have not interest in that. Biggest difference I can see is that on the procomp, there is an additional port on the right side (looking at it from the top view) that does not exist on the MB556K. So is there a difference in recoil between the two? Thanks.
  3. I received my shipment from Powder Valley last week after waiting 6 weeks on back order. They're no longer taking back orders ...
  4. I would not compare too much between Moly and Jacketed bullets. Jacketed beats Moly hands down but they are more $$$ to shoot. I generally keep apples to apples and oranges to oranges. When I do use Moly, I like the way BBI performs. I've used Bear Creeks but the 147's tend to keyhole out of my Glock. So I go with the Black Bullets Int's 147's whenever I go to a heavier bullet. The BBI bullets also have more of a curvature to the bullet profile than the BC's which seem to help with lead fowling (again out of my Glock 34).
  5. Out here in Kalif, $30 - 35 is not uncommon. It's not necessarily the shooting club but the guy who managages the property. But that high price does seem to be uncommon outside of this state.
  6. Sounds a lot like Win231. Kinda flaky type of powder.
  7. The stage design really did favor the 2 extra rounds available in minor.. Many stages rewarded shooting arrays of 8 and 9 shots that included swingers and small plates or popers at distance.. Cheers, Los And this is the reason I going to convert one of my other .45s to 9mm (and makes a nice home project for me). Garret
  8. Stock cz trigger is more like 7-8 not 15. Plus a shadow comes with a 5-6 DA so there for any CZ can work off that poundage. :
  9. This decision seems to penalize safe-action pistol shooters more so than DA pistol shooters in Production. If this is a question of having the gun more like "stock", then the trigger weights should be adjusted in the same manner as other characteristics. For example, the weight restriction is currently 2 ounces over the factory weight (as opposed to one weight fit all). Instead, have something like pull weight cannot be less that 60% of factory weight. A Glock going from 5 to 3 pounds does not seem like too severe a modification as compared to a CZ going from 15 to 3 pounds. If you take a CZ and reduce the pull weight to 9 pounds (which is 60%), that's offset by the advantaged gained by having subsequent 1.75 (or thereabouts) pound shots. I may not be 100% correct on the CZ trigger weight example, but it's close enough to illustrate my point. I think that some characteristics can have a division wide ruling such as the current provision allowing replacement of the sights or barrel. But the mechanical difference between safe-action and double action are as wide as the difference between the weight of a Glock versus CZ. A byproduct of this type of decision may also bring more production shooters into the argument as all production guns would be affected instead of one segment of the division. My 2 cents...
  10. It was more than 1 guy ... sorry I cant remember who. A lot of it was in passing conversation at awards and of course beer played an important memory role ;-) I'll see you when you get back then. Gary

  11. I'm doing well. I was folowing during the nationals I guess I'm going to have my hands full trying to beat you when I get back. Can't tell you that last part oprartonal security bro. Who was asking about me?

  12. Doing well man. Hope you're staying safe. Just got back from Nationals. Some of the guys were asking about you. When you coming back home?

  13. Theo, how have you been doing?

  14. Consider the Safariland 5188. It will clear the sight (I use a .300 tall FS). They run about $35-ish. Be sure to use the "newer" version of the 5188. The "older" version has a large suede liner on the inside of the holster. The newer version has a much smaller suede liner (about 2"x2") in size.
