Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. With all the matches canceled this weekend I can see that you are really bored!! Get a grip Steve.
  2. Sorry for your loss. I fully understand and appreciate your feeling as we lost our 16 year old Schnauzer a couple of months ago. Art
  3. Welcome. Corpus, San Antonio, and Austin have USPSA matches. San Antonio has a match just about every weekend. Come out and join us. You'll like it. Art
  4. Just read this on the internet. http://sports.myway.com/news/05252010/v3335.html Might be interesting. I am a race fan but not too much of an F1 fan. You never know what Austin is up to. Kind of makes one wonder. I hope the rest of us Texans don't have to pick up the bill. Art
  5. I've been loading my 16.40 out to 1.2 and haven't had a problem. My only gripe is that I can only use para mag springs. Nothing else seems to work. I've got about 6,000 rounds through it and have fewer problems than some of my friends that are using S_I's.
  6. I use True Blue in my 9mm open gun so when I needed some minor loads for my Tanfo Match and XD9 I just used the TB. I followed the Ramshot load data for 9mm and they worked well. I was using Montana Gold 124 CMJ's. It was clean and accurate in both guns. Unfortunately I did not have an opportunity to chrono them. When the weather warms back up hopefully I will have an chance to set up the chrono. All I can say is try it you may like it. Art
  7. I've had to replace the ball and spring on one of my Para pads. I didn't realize that there was a spring under the ball. It must have popped out when the slide came off and I didn't see it. I ordered replacements from Dawson. They come several to a bag. I cleaned the hole real good and installed the spring and ball. All it takes is a little pressure on the top of the ball and pushed the slide part back on. It took about 2 minutes to complete. Art
  8. Brownell's is out of stock. Just had my extractor go south on me yesterday. Had to leave the match. Although this 16-40 has been very reliable I think it is time to replace it with something else. I'm currently thinking of replacing it with a Tanfo Limited. what do you think? Art
  9. I had Alex work over a Springfield GI. He refit the barrel, put in a new barrel bushing, added adjustable sights and a long trigger. He set it up with a real smooth 4 lb trigger. It's a sweet shooting .45. He also worked over a Springer Micro Compact so that it actually works every time. He has worked on a couple of other guns for me as well. Personally I like his work. Art.
  10. I have a Match 9mm that I have had for several years. It came with the spacer in the front of the mag. When I started to reload for it I made the OAL extremely long and used the barrel as a gauge. I kept shortening the OAL until the round would chamber properly and the nose of the bullet did not contact the throat of the barrel. I then checked it in the mag to make sure that it would fit and work properly. I have been able to load all of my mags to the max and they all work without problem. I have also shot factory ammo without problems but not enough to determine if there would be a feed problem. HTH Art
  11. When I ordered springs from Wolff I got the Long Slide for my Match. They worked just fine. Art
  12. For some reason I seem to forget to put the clip in the primer tube. But since this only happened two or three times.................
  13. I had a similar problem with my Tanfoglio Match 9mm. I got an EGW undersize die and solved the problem.
