Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Recoil has a lot to do with practice, correct hand location and tightness of the grip. All comes together with the right training. The ammo is only a small part of it. As it has been said, practice with what you already have, and by the time you are done with that 16lb of powder, you would have gained some very valuable experience. Then you can be picky about your handgun, springs and ammo. I think the shooter makes up for 80% of the success, the rest is only 20%.
  2. I am skeptical about the effectiveness of the bushing (https://www.btguiderods.com/category/steyr-acc/), but you are saying that you can really feel a difference? What about the Lee Spring, have you have a chance to try it? Thanks Ben
  3. As someone mentioned on another topic, the Steyr L9, M9 and C9 serie handguns have been ignored by the Brian Enos masses. My goal is to reactivate the Steyr topic. It is a surprisingly good handgun, that deserve more attention that has been given to it for so long. My humble goal is to assist anyone to make their purchase decision a better experience. I have made some videos about the gun. But my hidden agenda is to use my newly acquired Steyr L9 A1 as a replacement for my beloved CZ SP-01 in competition, and see how far I can take it. I know, those are really big shoes to fill, but once I shot a few 100 rounds through the Steyr, I found another amazing gun, with very "CZ" like attributes, in other words, the polymer striker fired gun that CZ should have build (I think it's a conspiracy. CZ designed it, but Steyr stole the blue prints and made it ) https://youtu.be/Snp5ZvNXO8E
  4. I cycle through about 15000 use brass, so I rarely see too many bad one's, and keep on reloading them again and again. I usually stop reloading a specific case when it becomes defective, and most of the time a crack will be a clear sign of early retirement .
  5. I have been learning a lot from this site, so, thanks to everyone for all the advises. I am in the country, where we don't have too many matches of any kind, so all I do is train and train and train some more. I might try the next USPSA match May 6th 2018, in Ashland, ky, even so it's 1 1/2 hour away from me.
