Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Well, I just had this done 3 times by my gun smith. Heres my opinion. The bore sight should be sighted for the distance you are shooting, this will get you on paper. It is not good enough to go out and compete. You need to spend time at the range fine tuning the sight to exactly where you want it AND to the AMMO you will be using. I have a CK Thunder open, and I have switched sight mounts, and gas pedals, and every time I make an adjustment, I have to fine tune the See More sight in. Its not hard takes about ten minutes and twenty - twenty five bullets.
  2. What i find amazing, Geek or Redneck, is that the best shooters are usually from warmer climates than where I'm from. (South east, South West, and Mid west states)It amazes me how good the competition is when I see folks shooting in Florida, Texas, Arizona, and the videos posted on this forum are impressive. Just when I think Im getting good, I see how good the rest of the country shoots, its humbling to say the least.
  3. You can't beat the feel of a 1911 Trigger, short light and crisp. Not to mention the 1911 is the best looking guns out there.
  4. I think thats a great move. I too have eye problems, and the dot has been a life saver.
  5. Looks like most people are counting shots and planning their reloads. Seems like a good habit to get into.
  6. Interesting perspective from everyone. I didn't see if anybody talked about with eye sight problems, (near sided, far sided, contacts or glasses)whether they use a dot or still prefer iron sights.
  7. Dry fire, practice, attend as many events as you can.
  8. I use a zippered case, never a problem
