Has anyone bushed a witness slide? I've picked up an older competition framed DA/SA model in 38 super, accuracy and barrel fit is dismal at best. Frame to slide is good but barrel moves more than I'm used to seeing even on combat guns. Huge groups off the bags at 10 yards are the best I can muster, which seems out of character for one of these guns. I shoot ragged holes with a Tac Sport from the same distance. Could this barrel just be shot out or rifling shot? Crown messed up? I shot Winchester 130 grain +p out of it so far (the only 38 super I could find locally). Something has to be off here. I'm considering just chucking the top end in the safe and getting a conversion upper if this is the best this one can do. If I do that, is there a big difference between the elite match and long slide kits accuracy wise? Or are the coned barrel kits that much better?
