Looks for Match

Looks for Match (2/11)

  1. No where have I ever seen you have to have a high dollar rifle. Heck I have a tikka ctr 6.5 in a McMillan stock that will shoot factory ammo inside each other while some of my 4 and 5k rifles with reloads aren’t quite that accurate. Run it have fun be safe and ask some people to see their gear if you are wanting to go bolt. Lots of great guys that are more than willing to help if you are safe. Good luck and be prepared for the addiction Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Game changer is my favorite but the thunderbird long range bag looks to be a pretty solid bag also. Depending on the use you are thinking Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Bergara or rpr under a grand. Moving up I’d look into Tikka with a custom stock on it or Remington 700 with a new stock trigger. Around 2500 you can get into a really nice rifle mpa a couple custom builds around that price with a 700 donor action. Check out snipers hide. As there for sale section can be a great one to get into a nice used custom rifle for a big discount. Good luck in your search. Dta is going to be a high dollar gun they are very nice but have their limits. Also for the money you can get into a switch barrel bolt gun also. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Best thing to do is get in touch with your local club you are planning on shooting. We always have a couple gassers a lot of times 5.56/223 they can be very accurate with a handload. My ar10 can be just as accurate as some of my bolt guns and as long as you are capable of shooting 1 moa you should be fine. Just have fun and see where you go with it. 5. Last I checked cdnn had the rpr in 6 creedmoor for 799 good price Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I love the shoe on my pcc and my ar. It had a very nice feel to it and in a hurry I know I’m on my trigger good when I hit the shoe. This is all coming from me shooting precision rifles with amazing triggers. I don’t know what I would shoot if I hadn’t found the 24c in the carbines. Play with it for a couple range trips and see how it runs with you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. For a cheaper gun I really like my Tikka in a McMillan stock. Factory threaded the trigger and stock options are nice and no gunsmith more. Remington actions can be amazing but will likely require gunsmithing depending on what you want down. I’m on the hide and it’s a great place to buy used also. I would hop on there and take a lot you won’t be disappointed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Anyone know of any sales going on for Glock pcc mags? Gunna need a couple of mags don’t all have to be big sticks just looking for a good deal Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Awesome to hear guys. Gunna get my order in here shortly. Think you can cerakote over the silicon carbide or do smooth then carbide after paint where I need it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Very nice looking gun and time and practice I’m sure you’ll be spot on with it. I looked at the glocks and I just don’t like the feel of them in my hand not sure what it is about it. I’m saving for a sti or a limited gun right now. We will see what time brings I guess best of luck to you sir. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I have very close dominance in both eyes and I run into problems my groups will change on everything I shoot if I shoot both open then just one. Even my bow I shoot both open and just sight In with both open. Make sure you always keep them both open though. My old lady is right handed left eye dominant and she shoots about 3 foot to the left every time if they are both open Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. That is a very good statement. I usually only buy the stuff that I know will run then I push it to its limits with practice. Same with a hunt I would never take a rifle that I didn’t know if it would go off or not. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. At least the guns never talk back and you don’t have to worry where they are at while you are at work [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I will for sure be asking a lot of questions and my main focus will be on the safety side for the first couple of match’s. It will be a good time I’m sure and the wallet already has a slot for guns and ammo and the old lady is alright with it so I should be good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I am new to competition also but I figured I’d be better with what I shoot better. Maybe it’s just me but I have guns to play with as i shoot match’s. You have anywhere around you with a indoor range that rents out guns? Maybe you could shoot both and see what you like better? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
