Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Has anyone used the Armory Craft magazine extensions in the TSO with the grams followers for a 9mm 140mm magazine?? Did it work and how many rounds were you able to get in the magazine. Or should I just stick with the grams followers / springs and get the CZC basepads?
  2. I love my Elftman match trigger, I have it adjusted to 3# and it is a single stage trigger. Allot less movement than the Geisselle I used to run..
  3. Just completed the drill today average time 8.54 seconds running a 1911 in 45ACP
  4. I wear MSA Sordin's personally they have been great this last USPSA season really helps hear the RO commands and converse with the other shooters. The trick is to wear really thin stemmed glasses under the muffs to not break the seal and minimize pressure on the side of your head. Persol or Oakley's Military line are good options in that area.
  5. 116 yards for me on an 6 inch steel circle, took about 4 rounds to dial it in and a solid hit on the 5th shot. The competition reloads I was shooting dropped a decent amount as well.
  6. When I practice I intentionally use targets much smaller than the "A" zone in order to allow me to make better hits at distance. When on a static line range where no unholstering or other practical skills are allowed to be practiced anything inside of 15 yards I utilize the Shoot-N-C 2 inch wide sticker targets so it forces me to focus on accuracy. Then when moving from 15-25 yards I will use a "full sized" circle sticker target to give me more room and to help practice calling my shots at distance. Then when at my own private range I generally shoot either 6 inch steel circles or 2 inch steel spinners with some USPSA standard targets thrown in, with the focus on again ensuring that as long as I do my part A zone hits are easy to rapidly score on.
  7. I am running into the same problems as you most of the FAQ links appear dead to me at least. Off to try to work the search function I guess more to learn.
  8. You will lose money either way but like your frankengun I imagine that the loss on the custom 2011 would be more than the loss from a gun made by a well established manufacturer. Also hello from INGO!!
  9. I can't say I was ever happy with any Kimbers I ever owned for the same price I feel that Colt and Springfield are putting out better pistols, and at the $1600 price point Dan Wesson is my only choice. Also had a "stainless" Kimber rust on me in the safe, now why would this gun rust and not my carbon steel 70's vintage Colt Python be just fine I have no idea. https://i.imgur.com/IELgGVRh.jpg[/img]
  10. I really like my AccuPower 1-8 as others have mentioned they can be had for ~$1200 if you are patient, the FFP and reticle are really nice IMHO as well not had any issues. https://i.imgur.com/TeV22WGh.jpg[/img] https://i.imgur.com/EluK3xgh.jpg[/img] (1x Magnification , not quite as big of an FOV as the Razor but close) https://i.imgur.com/wEhAxxNh.jpg[/img] (8X magnification , at this power the eyebox is relatively generous as well really easy to get into)
  11. I like extreme personally , I agree with what is said above buy in bulk and save 3,000 goes quicker than you would think.
  12. Hello everyone! New member here from Indiana just started shooting USPSA this year really running in the Single Stack division (what can I say i like 1911's), next season I am planning on shooting Limited with the goal of reaching A class hopefully. Been reading this forum for the last month and wanted to join in order to hopefully add some more to this treasure trove of information!!
