Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I am using the rcbs charge master lite and im very pleased. Out of over 500 rounds weighed it was over .1 5 times never been over more than .1. I just dumped them back in and hit the button again.
  2. So the wife still hasnt tried the bullets i loaded for her. Ugh... i did take them out a run over the chrony myself. Very mild recoil and even milder velocities only 460fps avg. Not sure this is even enough to expand 158gr xtps or penetrate a couple layers of denim. And no i didnt buy many only 250 plated and 100 xtp.
  3. I use wsf with 115gr plated bullets for my 9mm. It is relatively soft shooting and cheap to load. I do find it to be a bit dirty as others have said. I have never ran any other load besides factory ammo in my 9s, so i am far from a expert, just got lucky the first cheap powder load i tried worked very well in my guns and found no reson to try something else.
  4. Was so tired of the cheap lee balance beam that came with my press. I saw this at my local walmart, yes im one of the lucky few my local walmart has some loading equipment. So far about a 100 rounds loaded using this new powder thrower and only 1 over charge just dumped it back in the hopper and went again. Powders used so far have been win 231, lil gun, and imr 4895 all with superb results. Would highly recommend one of these units.
  5. I use little gun in my 300gr ftx 500 s&w mag loads. Its a hunting load and frankly brutal out of the handi rifle. It does take a lot of powder too 48.7 gr
  6. I use lee press and seems to be measuring with the autodisk within .2 gr avg after 10+ test.
  7. So according to my old speer reloading manual their most accurate load for 55gr fmjbt is 25.1 gr of imr4985. Has anyone tried this? My chrony should be here tomorrow so i plan to test it and some 38 special loads. Im hoping for nice low recoil load on both the 223 for 3 gun.
  8. Agreed but im not tied to either camp when it comes to lighter bullets or heavier bullets recoil less i would like to think these will work but will try others also.
  9. 158gr hornady xtp hp. Hoping the 158gr copper plated from ricky mountain reloading i can load the exact same willjust have to do some measurements.
  10. I think i will try the win231 found a load at 3.8 gr 661 fps should be fairly mild the max load is 4.3 gr at 779 fps so it has a decent window. What i am seeing for clays doesnt have its 3.0 gr at 633 fps min max of 3.1 gr at 721 fps. I know that seems wrong but what the book says. Actually not sure if those are minimums it says starting load.
  11. Is clays still available ive been seeing some very light loads with it? I heard it was discontinued.
  12. Does the bullseye have much flash and is 3.5 about a minimum load without going lead
  13. Anyway the real question was for load data. Reduced recoil with 158 gr bullets. In a readily available powder.
  14. She shot it and yes her accuracy goes down with the long da trigger pull.
