Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. OOPS! Didnt realize that would be the case! Starting out i assume open class is not where I want to start. I think in the long run it should work out though, The 30" barrel will be good for skeet and practice and I dont mind purchasing a 24 or 26" barrel to use for competition. They are about $200 but with the deal I got on the gun to begin with I don't mind a little more investment down the road. I know the shorter barrels are not ported and hopefully that will work out! I was hoping to not have to deal with that but like I said it will likely work out. I also know that down the road I hope to move into open class or more into a benelli.
  2. Sorry I haven't been posting. Based on everyones feedback I went ahead and make the trade. I now have myself a 30" stoeger m3000. The model came with an enlarged charging handle and bolt release. It also has a ported barrel which is nice! blasted through some rounds right after picking it up just to function test it but primarily so that I could shoot 5 shots as fast as I could through and auto loader as it is my first auto shotgun. I am very happy with it. Does anyone have any experince with the tac com extension tubes? I love the idea of picking up a 20-24in barrel and using a +4 and then throwing on an additional +4 when I have the 30" barrel installed... thoughts? Thanks again for the feedback I am so excited to be getting into the shotgun world and look forward to gearing up for my first match!
  3. Hi there I have not done any competitive shooting yet but am gearing up. I found a stoeger m3000 that has a 30" barrel on it that I can trade an older carry gun I dont use anymore for. Would the 30" barrel be to long for competitive shooting in 3 gun? I would be adding a +8 tube so the tube would only stick out about 2-4" past the barrel with a 30" Thanks B
  4. New here but not new to shooting. I am fairly proficient in rifle and pistol shooting and excited to start shooting competition, primarily USPSA but hoping to get into 3 gun so i want to make purchases with that in mind. I am looking for a shotgun that is a jack of all trades master of none sorta shotgun to get me started. I have owned a pump 12g in the past but sold it because I found a good deal on a glock I couldn't pass up at the time. SO I've been looking at a stoeger m3000 or m3k to purchase. The primary use of this shotgun will be for fun, and I hear there is not many things more fun than 3 gun. So it will be primarily used with 3 gun in mind. I am also hoping it will do okay with clays/trap and an occasional hunting trip for dove, I would much rather be at a pistol range than a clay shoot but thats not always the case for my friends so clay/trap/dove is a secondary concern for me but I would still like to have it as an option. So with that in mind I was thinking a 24" or 26" barrel. Is the m3k going to put me at a disadvantage with the 24" barrel compared to a 26" m3000. Ive tried to read the mega thread. But its been taking up all my time so I figured I would just ask here... is there a general consensus m3k or m3000 modified? Whatall would need to be done to either for a minimalist 3 gun set up? Any and all info is appreciated! Thanks!
