  1. I've also never trimmed .40s&w or any other pistol calibers I've reloaded. I've only trimmed rifle cases. My reloading was for IDPA initially then USPSA and 3 gun shooting matches. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I'm interested. How do you prefer payment?

Good afternoon Albert.   I never heard back from you & then another buyer contacted me and closed the transaction.

I do have another WRS holster for the SV with full dust cover, and a mounted flashlight.   Unless you have the flashlight mounted , it will not stay put.   Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for following up and sorry it didn't work out.

      Hey Kyle,

No problem. I figured as much, that's why I thought I'd check.

Does that holster for the SV work with a 5" STI? Also, is it just the streamlight or will it work with the Surefire x300?

I would think SV and STI would be no issue.  The light is what is holding it in place.   I had a guy in Alabama Offer to take it if it would work with the Streamlight TR-1.  I have shipped it to him for testing right now.  I dont own either type of light so I just had the manufacturers spec sheet to compare for the 2 items.   If the Alabama guy doesnt take it, we can check the specs to see if you think it would work.

  3. Hello Emery.

I just need your paypal address to send payment for the SV 9mm 2011 mag

You can also either text me at 206-818-1101 or email me at albertbrosas@gmail.com

  4. According to a conversation I had with a Blade Tech rep, if they have made a holster for the pistol then they can make any holster they have as they already have the mold. I'm confident they have a mold for the CZ 97
  5. I was looking at putting something like this together that can be taken on and off easily that would go on a folding cart that folds flat and not as robust as what is in this picture. Did you make that frame or recycle it? I've also wondered if there is anything in the golfing stores that might work as well.
  6. Hey Dan,

I believe the title is "The Art of Racing in the Rain". Going to shoot the Single Stack Championship in Oregon this Sunday, how 'bout you?

  7. I've had Adrian at Mag Blueprinting also tune my mags. My most reliable is a tuned SV tube with Bolen spring, follower and basepad. Although Adrian mostly tunes with Bolen parts he has also tuned mags for me with Grams springs, followers and Dawson basepads.
  8. I just had one installed on my Single Stack, a Dan Wesson PM-7 10mm, and according to my gunsmith it had no issues with fit like the double stack triggers (SV/STI). Most of it would be at the base of the shoe (width), at least that was the case when I bought a supposed fitted double stack SV trigger and then had to fit it to my STI grip. Give me a call and I could meet up with you to give you a closer look. -Albert
  9. With just switching out grips to really lightweight grips, I've had an SP-01 Tactical make the 39 oz. weight limit using the 19 round magazines. If you have the 10 round magazines to use you should be able to make weight with it in SSP division. The SP-01 Tactical I had was a 3-slot rail model. Very accurate gun, wish I still had it.
  10. I had a Springfield 9mm 1911 with this same issue but it was not pinned. Had a new ejector pinned in and the problem went away.

    SP-01 Sight Choices

I've had one break as well at the same spot of the rear sight as well as witnessed another USPSA shooter (local GM) have his break, but you should be able to get some help from CZcustom.com or where ever you purchased it. There was a bad batch that were made. I haven't had any trouble since. Sounds like you found a few of them.

    SP-01 Sight Choices

Great post ck1! I was thinking of doing the same with my CZs and since you already have, I'm going to place my order on Monday.
  13. Nice looking pistols Chris, can't wait to see them in action at the next local match. Bringing them to Paul Bunyun?
  14. If it's got the full dust cover like the CZ 75 SP-01 then you'll need to get to 39 oz with a magazine (SSP division weight) because ESP division does not allow full dust covers. If the light rail does not extend out as a full dust cover then you are fine with the 43 oz weight limit. No external modifications are allowed in IDPA, so no it would not be legal to machine off the light rails.
  15. I've put the 124gr RWS through my Shadow and got a PF of 135. It's not bad at all and is accurate for factory. Not sure if I'd consider that hot, but it works.
  16. Some that have used the SA frame will notice that it has the benefit of the more up-swept beavertail and allows for a better grip on the frame, similar to the SP-01 series but with a lighter frame weight. The older 75B models do not have this style of beavertail, but I believe the new Omega trigger models do have the newer style beavertail.
  17. Only benefit would be a more consistent trigger pull (no DA pull then SA pull) when competing in Limited or Limited 10. The regular 75B (with DA/SA) can't be holstered with the hammer cocked (and locked/thumb safety activated otherwise shooter is DQ'd for holstering without the safety on) in Production division but can in Limited and Limited 10 divisions.
  18. 43 oz. is the weight limit for the ESP division in IDPA. Problem is, the EAA Stock 2 has a full length dust cover which removes it from eligibility in the ESP division alone. Therefore, it would need to make the SSP division weight limit in order to be eligible in the ESP division because of the full length dust cover which is not specifically allowed in ESP. from the rule book (pages 21 & 22): 3. Enhanced Service Pistol Division (ESP) Pistols approved for SSP may also be used in ESP and CDP depending upon caliber, even if the pistol in question has a fulllength dust cover. However, should the pistol in question have a modification that removes it from SSP, it must meet all other division criteria for ESP or CDP, again depending upon caliber. EXCLUDED Modifications (NON-Inclusive list): 1. Full length dust covers of carbon or stainless steel.
  19. If it will make the max weight limit of 39 oz. with a magazine installed then it's good to go. I hefted one a friend has. It felt a little more than 39 oz.
  20. Don't think so. If it is, CZ made sure the 97 mags and the TS mags are dimensionally different because neither will fit into the other's grip frame.
  21. Great price tag at $500, but Bart is right about the geometry. The Dawes Cycle USA website gives no information on the seat and head tube angles of the bike, just suggestions of what size you should ride based on your height. At the bike shop I worked and used to manage we would offer sizing services to fit a frame or have one built for the specific needs of the customer and those two angles were important. I also noticed the drivetrain parts included a triple chainring mated with an 8-speed cassette. This was the standard more than 10 years ago and most "race" oriented bikes have 10-speed cassettes with a double chaingring up front (lighter and more efficient) usually in a compact orientation (smaller, lighter chainrings). Have a professional bicycle mechanic look it over and to tighten and adjust everything and your son should be fine to ride it till he out performs what it can give, then he'll want to upgrade. Bart's recommendation of the Cervelo is good, but check out Fuji or check out Giant. A friend of mine who just started competing in triatholons found an 2 year old Fuji Tri specific bike on Craigslist in a major city for only $800, so it is possible to find those good deals. -Albert
  22. Actually, this weekend's match is Kitsap's match on Saturday followed by the Section's Series Championship match at Shelton on Sunday or the outlaw match at Custer with a minimum 326 rounds. Welcome Seatle Shooter and Brian is right, don't go unless you want to get hooked. -Albert
  23. I've seen someone use grip tape for tennis rackets.
  24. I had a custom Shadow that I recently sold to a local shooter/friend. That Shadow with Marschal grips made weight with the 10 round magazines. I've had a tactical in the past that also made it with the wood grips (Marschal lightweight wood or CZ walnut) and the 18/19 round magazines (some but not all). There are varying weights between CZ SP-01 models from the standard manual safety, the tactical with the decocker and the Shadow. Most recently I put the lightweight plastic grips on a 2006 manual safety equipped SP-01 (with the 3 slots in the rail) and it makes weight using the upgrade recoil spring, plastic guide rod and 10 round magazines (under 39 oz.). The Shadow I have that came to me stock from CZ custom with only the addition of the competition hammer also had the plastic grips installed, plastic guide rod, piano wire style recoil guide rod and 10 round magazine installed and it weighed in at 39.49 oz. So it depends on which one you have and how much it weighed after the frame came off the casting mold as their are varying differences in weight, I believe, between frames. Now who would be willing to make lightweight but strong wood grips in the same shape as the aluminum grips. I've broken too many pairs of the Marschal grips.
  25. That's an interesting point you brought up that is derived directly from a manufacturer. I personally don't believe it's that big a deal to start from the half cock notch that some prefer to do with the manual safety CZs versus the decocker equipped. I've also heard the argument from a top shooter in our area that setting the hammer to the half cock position is safer. That shooter now sets it down all the way to rest on the hammer, but there isn't a huge advantage starting from either point, it's still a first shot in double action. -Albert
