Both my lim Pro with 40K rounds on the clock and limited with 25K rounds, have rust on the front and back straps. The only way to stop it is I think cleaning after shooting and dry firing, which I don't, and don't care to. It adds character.

I'm not really trying to save money so much as not wasting it.

I would still have to buy another magwell for the limited. I'm also curious how the shorter gun would shoot.

I'm currently shooting a Tanfoglio limited custom .40 in Limited Division (A class). I'm looking for a backup gun and was thinking about setting up an S2/3 for limited. I will switch to a henning flat trigger and magwell anyways making it cheaper to set up an S2/3 for limited than a Limited Custom. I will also be able to play with different slide, barrel, and dust cover length combos (already have a 9mm LP I can switch around if I want, and was also thinking about setting up a CO gun, which I could do out of the spare parts). Just wondering if anyone has experience shooting an S2/S3 in limited vs a limited custom and what their thoughts are on this. I know what the spec differences are between the guns and am aware of the fact that I will be setting up a backup gun that is balanced differently than my LC. I have not shot an S2/S3 and I'm just wanting to get the opinions of people who have done this before or at least shot an S2/3 in limited.
